Hillary started strong, but strangled herself on Iraq. That saved Obama tonight.

4. Toss up. I think they both did well with a couple loaded questions. |

The Dream Team comment kind of took the air out of any controversy in my opinion.

she shined over him on every other issue in the debate.

29. As an Obama supporter - I say Tie |
|
Both made good points, and both had weak points:
Hillarys Strengths: Health Care (more clear cut) Obamas Strengths: Iraq (Against the war)
Tie: Immigration.. neither has a great clear cut policy.. both over talked the points.. Hillary flip-flopped on drivers licenses.. Obama didn't initially make a choice, then decided to do them.
I commend them BOTH on keeping it clean, on target and being nice to each other. Tonight made me still want Obama, but not ill at the thought of pushing the button for Clinton if she wins.

34. A very positive discussion that reflected well on both of them |
|
I said this on the debare thread. For those who focus on Clinton's vote on the IWR, Barack won the debate. For those who can look past that vote, Hillary won the debate. But no one lost it. They both came across as bright good Democrats who we can be proud to back against whoever the Republicans nominate. They really did not have strong differences on the issues, and their positions on the issues came off as good ones - a big improvement for the nation.
