Poll question: "Hillary Clinton solves all of McCain's Problems" |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 12:27 AM by calteacherguy
They are saying this on Countdown right now. They are saying that if it's Hillary, then that makes McCain's job of keeping all the different elements of the Republican Party under one tent much easier. They are also saying it will be easier for him to win over independents if it's her.
Agree or disagree?

1. The Repugs are counting on lots of Republicans and some voters who... |
|
prefer the status quo (white men).

He's helping him out by furthering the Maverick image.

6. I do think Clinton vs. McCain would be a closer race than Obama vs. McCain. |
|

I'm not of the opinion she wouldn't have a chance to win, but I think Obama is the one who brings the potential of mandate for change.

9. No scare tactics here. |

However, I do think Obama would have a better chance and by a wider margin. I'm not saying Clinton doesn't have a chance, but I think it would be a tighter and tougher sell.

16. And McCain is about as popular as ants at a picnic with many conservative Repugs |
|
McCain's nomination just might help Hillary even more than hers might help him.

15. This has the smell of white male conventional wisdom |
|
Not the smell of reality. McCain is a REPUBLICAN. The exact same monster that has been occupying the WH for too fucking long.
Independents are polling more and more Democratic. I can't see them breaking for McCain. He's Bush's man.

17. When Bill Bennett and Pat Buchanan are pushing Hillary ... |
|
Isn't it obvious Republicans want to run against Hillary? They know their constituencies. They know the independents that trend in their direction. They know they will lose indies and borderline Pubs to Obama, but not Hillary Clinton.
