Obama Managed To Damage Hillary On Iraq Without Seeming Mean- No Small Feat |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 10:34 AM by cryingshame
in fact, I'd say it was pretty damned impressive.
One of things that held me back with full out RA! RA! support for Obama was his lackluster debate performances. I still have some reservations.
Last night he comfortably discussed policy proving he's no lightweight pouf.
He looked "Presidential"
He has a lovely, gentle humor.
He had some good quips-soundbites, important for today's media climate and electorate.
He drew serious blood on Iraq with Clinton. And he did it without looking like a bully. As a NY'er, I remember Lazio approaching Hillary on the stage and appearing threatening. It helped Clinton tremendously. Obama has to walk a fine line between drawing distinctions/critiquing Hillary and coming across as the aggressor.
Obama performance in that regard was stellar.
Obama is not just a gifted orator and able representative of the people, he also has a gift for finding the right "tone".
I am not knocking down Hillary's fine performance either. I think it was close to a draw.

1. As the reviewers note - Hillary easily won the debate - but Obama did well - his best to date |

3. Kudos to Barack for that & kudos for Hillary for taking the high road and not going after him for it |
|
Both of them took the high road toward each other all night long except when it came to Bush, lol
