1. Somehow I don't believe Bobby would've protected BushInc from accountability.

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

The Bobby Kennedy I have studied would not have allowed Bush1 and his powerful cronies to escape accountability on all the crimes of office they were being investigated for when Bill took office.

23. As he is a river keeper, I'm surprised that Bill Clinton's Arkasas record is ignored
Tyson's actions sound like the horrors the Kerrys wrote of their book although that was hog farms in NC.

Chris Matthews aired it on Hardball this afternoon. So far, haven't seen it anywhere else.

21. His mother can't be very happy with him for this:
Sunday, January 27, 2008

It was on a November day in 2005, near the end of Barack Obama’s first year in the Senate, when he was asked to deliver a keynote address at a ceremony commemorating the 80th birthday of Robert F. Kennedy.

The invitation was extended by Ethel Kennedy, who at the time referred to Mr. Obama as “our next president.”

“I think he feels it. He feels it just like Bobby did,” Mrs. Kennedy said that day, comparing her late husband’s quest for social justice to Barack Obama’s. “He has the passion in his heart. He’s not selling you. It’s just him.”

http://fromtheleft.wordpress.com/2008/01/27/ethel-kennedys-comments-on-barack-obama/

Yeah, JFK, Jr., wanted that Senate seat too right before his plane crashed.

She is no Gore or Kerry. As to understanding who Bobby Kennedy was I assume that Ethel was a better judge.

35. Hillary has a pretty good record -
Not as good as Biden's, but she was
Rated 89% by the LCV
and
Rated 100% by the CAF.

Those are impressive numbers.

38. But that's just the years she was in the Senate
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 10:20 PM by karynnj
A mere 7 of the 35 years of experience she has. It was HRC who was such a good friend of a Tyson Chicken lawyer, that he spent time teaching her commodity trading. She was so good that following his advice, $1000 became $100,000. Meanwhile, Tyson was polluting the water ways in Arkansas.

Those are just scores on votes cast. Biden has a good record, but he is nowhere near Al Gore or John Kerry. As Biden said in a SFRC where they had a hearing on global warming as a national security issue - (to Kerry) you have been speaking about these issues for 15 years and we should have listened. (appoximate quote) Kerry was there with Gore, Wirth, and Heinz leading on that issue.

39. Biden had an excellent record on the environment.
He passed legislation for Li-ion batteries, lots of work to keep the coastline from getting developed, on and on.

What about Obama's record? From what I am reading, there is not much there - just alot of talk that began in 2007.

48. I just saw this ad here in NJ!!!!!!
It's a great ad and I'll take Bobby's endorsement over Teddy's anytime. I also saw the ad with the son of Cesar Chavez. Both very effective.

The ad I would love to see is from the NY firefighters. Their endorsement is the only one of any candidate's who made me cry. As someone who was in the North Tower on that fateful day, I know full well how much these brave men & women sacrificed on 9/11.

In their endorsement the firefighters explained how she had obtained health monitoring for all first responders. The endorsement ends with this sentence that moved me to tears:

She is our hero...........
