I am very, very happy to be in the RFK corner. :)

1. I believe that RFK Jr. wants Hillary's Senate seat----I figure that is the reason he |
|
endorsed Clinton quite early on. Kathleen K. Townsend also endorsed very early, when they had no reason to think that anyone else would be a serious contender.
I think Caroline had absolutely no other reason than she believes what she said. Ted was offended by what the Clinton's said, but I also believe he sees that "Kennedy quality" in Barack.
I worked for Jack's election (I was 15 at the time) and loved Bobby dearly. It was a personal loss when they both were taken from us. Bobby's death hurt me even more, if that is possible.
I met Obama, back when he was running for IL Senate, at a rally on a Southern IL farm in Macoupin CO. I felt then that he was so like JFK and RFK--way before I ever heard anyone else make that comparison. I have watched him develop ever since. He has that indescribable quality that both Kennedys had-- which includes an ability to inspire and lead. Living during those times, I know how much that quality of leadership meant, and was needed. We need that kind of leader now. The Clintons have had their chance; now it is time for a NEW GENERATION of leadership. I am in Obama's corner all the way. He is what is needed for the future.

2. RFK Jr didn't have to make this ad |
|
and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend didn't have to make the rounds of the news shows last week ardently re expressing her support for Hillary.
You have to understand something: there are people who believe in Hillary as fervently as you believe in Obama. You, and his campaign, don't have a lock on passion and idealism, and many people who were intimately involved with both Kennedys are diehard Clinton supporters. I am delighted you are so fervently in support of Obama. But give your opponent's some credit - they may believe just as fervently as you do.

but the campaigns are turning it into that.
Ad for Obama - Moving images of JFK with Caroline doing voiceover
Ad for Hillary - Moving images of RFK (and Cesar Chavez) with RFK Jr and Cesar Jr doing voiceover.
I'm pretty sure I know which ad will be more effective in NY and CA.
