Thought about voting for Obama or Clinton. It felt dirty. I took a shower and now firmly voting for Edwards.

33. Yes, Barack has a choice and a great opportunity... |
|
Even if he DIDN'T negotiate with Edwards to pull out, he and Edwards can postfacto make like they did, and Obama could offer some of the same support for issues that Edwards offered to help "explain" why Edwards got out. But he has a VERY limited time to do so to win over people like the OP and myself before Super Tuesday voting happens. If he doesn't, he WILL lose our votes and we will go on and vote for Edwards to show that we will not be taken in by candidates any more that don't fess up as to what their REAL substance is, not just their style.
We learned the hard way in 2006 with Nancy Pelosi and many of the Blue Dogs we voted in to congress! Not Again! The DLC can go SHOVE IT with their two faced BS!

That he's not making a deal with Edwards regarding a spot in an Obama administration, though he would really like his endorsement. Wonder if that means Edwards is trying to cut a deal ~ how would you feel if he's selling his endorsement to the highest bidder??

I simply can't bring myself to vote for Hillary because she has nothing I look for in a candidate, and Obama's supporters have turned me off to the point where I don't know and now don't care if he has a message beyond the 2 words.
:hi:
John Edwards may have pulled out of the election, but I have not lost hope that his message can and will be heard!!!!

20. Why vote for a candidate who is no longer running? |
|
A protest vote is like a tree falling in a forest when there is no one there to hear it.
I supported Edwards in '04 and briefly and belatedly in '08. I've met him several times and I like the guy and what eh was saying, but he said it and now it's over.
As for showers, no one is innocent and no one is squeaky clean. Not even John Edwards.
I'm for Barack.

Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 07:08 PM by Yael
Lets try again!
You say -- "a vote for Edwards is straight into the trashcan".
I say -- "Would you prefer that we vote AGAINST your candidate instead?"
Can you do the math here?
Here is a little word problem illustrating the point:
You get one vote and I get one vote. Where do you want me to vote. For Edwards or for your candidate's opponent?
(Partial credit will be given for incorrect answers if you show your work).
