If the Repukes drag out Obama's cocaine use in the GE |
|
They will further whittle down an already fractured and withering base.
A. How many voting age Americans have either used drugs at some point in their lives and will find an attack along these lines as not only hypocrotical but insulting.
B. This is where race inadvertantly works in Obama's favor, any attack along these lines will not only seem cheap but also vaguely racist since these very same people foragve one GWB of similar behavior and worse during his 40's.
C. The media elite, few of whom either have or currently do imbibe, snort or burn fatty now and again will be loathe to pursue this.
D. It will again strengthen the difference between Obama's positive forward looking message and the Repukes old tired attack politics.

4. i doubt many voting-age americans have used cocaine |
|
Obama's use of cocaine will probably be used a lot if he gets the nom, mainly because cocaine is not one of those drugs that most people have experimented with, and it also has class connotations. You don't get many poor kids snorting cocaine.

7. The Obama swiftboating will be $30 million of interesting ads that he will get |
|
by but only by the skin of his teeth - dragging the rest of the ticket down.
He will be elected I suspect - but there will be near zero "change" - just a lot of "vision"

6. It is irrelevent what the republicans say because they will lose no matter what |
|
Apparently you are delusional about Republicans though, bullshit and hypocracy bring them together and it has for generations and they never get 'tired of it.'
The GOP will run the most bigoted racist campaign in history, if Obama gets the nod, and his base will love every second of it and join in as much as possible.
Dont fall for that unity kool-aid because it is poison and democrats have fallen for it over and over and over and everytime they republicans screw them for it. Dont be a fool.

8. The Republicans have had a known cocaine addict in the White House for the last 8 years |
|
They're gonna look pretty ridiculous mentioning someone who tried it as a teenager.

9. Of course they do, but they don't believe it |
|
And neither do most Americans.
What's more, Obama won't bring it up because he will have no proof. Just like Kerry and Gore.
