15. Obama did AMAZING tonight! Really, truly amazing!
Think back to just ONE week ago.

Obama won more states than anyone ever predicted.

Obama did better in almost all categories.

Obama won, actually won, states Hillary was supposed to win.

Did Hillary win any states that Obama was expected to win one week ago.

The momentum is behind him. The money is behind him. And quite frankly, I'd rather be where Obama is right now than where Clinton is.

17. Each won two toss ups: CT & MO for Obama, CA & MA for Clinton
Not too bad. Hope the MO result holds up. CA was always a tough slog due to the Clinton hammerlock on the state party machinery, Hispanic vote, and early voting.

Good night for Obama: 13 state to 9

Maybe win the complicated delegate selection

Good night for Clinton: won the only two states the media really care about = NY and CA

else coming up as Obama is strong in the next 6 states. SHE needed to rack up HUGE numbers today but she didn't. She should have won four or five more states that she really needed today.

Obama has way more in the bank, too. It's all good up ahead.

The momentum is on his side and just the fact that he won in so many rural states proves that he has more drawing power than her. Odds are he won MO too so it's not a loss by any stretch.

62. This is a good point. He did make a good push until the last couple of weeks.
And even then, at the rally in L.A., Oprah, Michelle, Caroline, and Maria had to do the heavy lifting. I think they only recently decided that they had a shot at California. If they'd had an earlier ground game, the results would be a lot closer.

This has been a great night. A beautiful night. A historic night. Let yourself bask in the glory of that and remember that Clinton was/is expected to take California. If in the end things go a different route all the better for making tonight historic. :)

I guess that's easy for me to say though. I'm looking at this as from the outside in a detached way tonight.

53. Too early to call. They are reporting absentee.
I worked a precinct in Placer County, the reddest part of California. Obama beat Clinton 74 to 49 Romney beat McCain by 52 to 47. This does not include provisional or absentee returns. This is a historically red district, over 2-1 Republican. Today we had a fifty fifty Dem/Rethug turnout which is stunning. A small precinct, but as of now, they haven't tallied our county. I just got home. I am calling California for Obama based on these earthshaking results.

58. I know
I was just with a friend who is an Obama supporter. She was really down because of the disparity between the polls and the results. I told her that she couldn't be bummed, my candidate got votes and he isn't even in the election.

I saw Obama speak and I truly concentrated for the first time. I know he will be a good leader. I don't know about his positions on the issues...I think he is not progressive enough. But, the legislation shall be left to Congress, and I know that if we have a Dem in the WH and a majority in Congress, we will be able to put this country on a correcting course. Tonight it the first time I have felt confident in both of the remaining candidates.

GO DEMS in '08!
