The so-called "black candidate" won Kansas by a three to one margin. |
|
And Idaho. And Utah. North Dakota. Connecticut. Minnesota.
So much for that campaign tactic.

6. Some woman from ID was just on the young turks |
|
and said that is not representative of anything really other than Idaho - BIG anti-Clinton sentiment there - for their pro-environment which a lot of these folks believe cost them timber jobs - said there is a little of it in MT and WY too - but localized issues led to Obama's huge win there - sounds more like anti Hillary than pro-Obama
sorry I can't remember her name - last guest on before they signed off for the night....
and by the way she is predicting Obama will win nomination so she wasn't spinning this in favor of Hillary - sounded like she knew what she was talking about

7. Thinkin it was partly Dean's 50 state strategy v McAuliffe's DLC nose thumbing at the heartland |
|
People in the west like the Dean approach. That DLC thing doesn't play with a lot of people. Clinton doesn't get that.

5. Let's not forget Colorado. |
|
In Conifer, Colorado (Conifer -- 8200 feet above sea level, 35 miles southwest of Denver, population 8,000 spread over many miles), tonight, at the local high school, 8 precincts got together in the lunch room. The people were still in line at 7:30 (the caucusing was to begin at 7:00). Next, the sign-in sheets ran out. Democratic officials were expecting 6 voters per precinct, instead they got an average of 80. Long story short: total of all precincts in that lunch room -- Obama 70%, Clinton 30%. Every single mofo a white person.
Yes. We. Can.
