McCain hating Conservatives will vote for Hillary or Obama |
they would rather lose to the Democrats than win with McCain.

5. it will be their way of "teaching" their party |
what they don't get is that someone like McCain is their best chance of survial as a party. the party will not survive with Reagan/Bush types anymore. they need to moderate if they want to stay relevent nationally.

4. McCain-hating conservatives will stay home before they vote for Clinton. |
Obama has a proven greater crossover appeal, so they are more likely to vote for him.

6. i see it more as their way of trying to humiliate McCain |
but yes, i think they could actually bring themselves to vote for Obama unlike with Hillary.
the one thing i worry about most with McCain are the independents and moderates. that's an area that OBama can compete and beat McCain at. i worry they will go heavily for Mccain if Hillary is the nominee.
