Stop spinning, this is a TIE |
|
Obama won more states, Clinton won the biggest state(s). Obama did much better than what polls predicted for almost the whole primary season up to a week ago; Clinton did much better than the latest polls indicated. Obama cleaned house in Illinois, Clinton cleaned house in Arkansas. Obama pulled an upset in Missouri (one of the biggest states where he was widely expected to lose), Clinton pulled an upset in California (not the fact that she won, but the comfortable difference). There are positive demographic trends for Obama (stronger than expected among whites), there are positive demographic trends for Clinton (huge Latino turnout). Both candidates won states in very diverse geographic areas. The South, the Northeast, the (mid)West: no candidate sweeped a whole region, it was all divided. The most important count of all, PLEDGED DELEGATES, is virtually tied.
Stop spinning for your candidate, this can only be called for what it is, one of the closest primary races ever.

1. "[...] one of the closest primary races ever." |

Just as the MSM wanted. A horse race to end all horse races. A battle to the DNC, a complete clusterfuck of democracy.

Seems like Hillary won the blue states and Obama took the midwest and south.

4. It is a tie. Delegates are almost exactly tied. |
|
Obama has a slight edge in committed delegates and states won. Hillary has won two big states.
Given that Hillary was suppose to have the nomination locked up by now, it's not spin to say Obama has far exceeded expectations while Hillary has failed to meet them.
The next week should be instructive.
