WOW! Democrats Came out in DROVES here in Colorado! |
|
In 2004 about 15,000 Democrats participated in Caucuses.
Last night there were 118,200! It was awesome!
Our State House District held all of its Precinct Caucuses at a local High School, and there were so many people that they had to have precincts caucusing in the hall ways! There were people standing on chairs, arguing for their candidates, and for various platform planks. It was grass roots democracy (with a small "d") at its finest!
Obama carried my precinct 51 - 9 and carried the state 67% to 32%!
Even though I was originally an Edwards supporter, I was elected to going to the County Assembly as an Obama delegate!

:hi:
It was a packed gymnasium here. One precinct had to move to the cafeteria since we were over the fire code.

3. LOL! GOPers are "crowing" about getting TWICE as many caucus-goers as they did in 2004 . . . |
|
They say it proves that the GOP voters are motivated, too.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
Here are the Official "Super Tuesday" turnout figures for Democrats in Arapahoe County, Colorado:
Number of Caucus attendees in Arapahoe County
2004: 802 2006: 755 2008: 12,500
That 15.5 TIMES the turn out from 4 years ago, folks! 15.5 TIMES!!!
People are FED UP with the GOP, and, if the Democrats can harness that energy (instead of squashing it - like they would with a "brokered" convention!) voters are going to flush the GOP out of Washington, like a ranch-hand flushing out the stables with a fire hose!
Yes, We CAN!
OBAMA 2008!
