1. So, the DNC has been reading my posts. |
|
You'd better do something, DNC...unless you have some other plan to win FL and MI.

6. That'd be the only fair way to do it and have the delegates count |
|
Make those two contests among the last ones in the process.

7. This Floridian approves of the idea |
|
Now, all of you other Floridians who have been bitching that Howard Dean disenfranchised you, WATCH WHAT OUR STATE PARTY DOES NOW. If they really want your vote to count for anything, they will fall all over themselves to arrange a caucus.
If, however, they don't give a damn whether your vote counts, they will tell the DNC to take a flying leap. They will put their own desires for power within the state party before the interests of you, the voter.

8. So what would happen to Edwards' campaign in this scenario? |
|
and Kucinich for that matter. They were both in the race at the time of the original primary dates, but would be shafted in this do-over scenario as they are no longer campaigning.

9. Kucinich withdrew, Edwards suspended. He "could" jump back in. (please God!) |

10. After being out of the game for so long? |
|
Expecting a dormant campaign to rev up, advertisement buys, and all that all over again? it seems like much too much to ask. All the volunteers and such have certainly gone back to jobs and lives and such. Even some of the regular staffers have likely begun moving on already.

11. I know it's unlikely, but if he did, an all-volunteer staff would assemble almost overnight. |
|
And he might just pick up enough delegates to be "kingmaker" at the convention, force some of his ideas on the platform. That would be sweeeet! (a nice fantasy, anyway)

13. None of them were supposed to be campaigning the first time, so nothing would change |
|
I don't see the issue - there was no campaigning in Michigan or Florida when those states moved their elections up early and broke the rules, so the candidates haven't wasted anything.

This way both candidates can actually compete in Florida, the voters will have time to make up their minds after seeing the candidates and it will be a true contest.
I like it, and I like Obama's chances, hell I'll be out banging on doors for him in Fl.

15. It might be a good idea |
|
depending on the details. Such as, who is eligible to participate?
I'm not looking forward to another round of robo-calls, though.
