I am going to see Chelsea Clinton AND Barack Obama today.
My husband and I are both Hillary supporters, we are taking two of our daughters who are Obama supporters. I do not expect any of us to change our affiliations in any way. I'm not gonna lie, we will try gentle persuasion on the kids I'm sure but it's all in good fun. I'm just proud as hell of them for being INVOLVED and voting (caucusing in our case) for Democrats.

I'm excited about seeing Chelsea, she's such a poised and warm person. Every time I see her I think of how proud her mom and dad must be. I'm going to have her sign my copy of her moms book, "Living History".

I'm also happy and excited to go and see Obama too. His very campaign is history in the making and I have no doubt the man will earn the Presidency either now or soon. I would prefer that it be in 8 years after he spends two terms as My Vice President, but I promise not to knash my teeth or jump out a window if he gains the nomination this cycle.

I will take video and pictures and report back later. It is a GOOD day to be a Democrat. :patriot:

:hi:

6. I can't think of anything better to do together as a family - except maybe going to the inaugural
And wouldn't THAT be a blast? Maybe we'll get a chance to do that together as well also. I would like to see them run together, no matter who's at the top of the ticket.

7. You will ask Chelsea to sign Hillary's book?
I think you should ask Chelsea to give your daughters a reason to vote for Hillary.

Then cancel the Obama rally in case you and your husband get brainwashed! ;-)

15. Nah, we like Obama a great deal, but we've made a reasoned choice based on issues
That won't change. But I'm still very excited to go and see him and see what is happening in my state! Nebraka splits it's delegates in the electoral college. The more Dems we get engaged here the more likely we are to see a few (or even most) delegates swing blue in the general election.

Chelsea could have a powerful impact on the girls too, I'm excited about both events.

8. But if you support one candidate you have to attack attack attack the other candidate.
How dare you look at the bright side!

This is DU where you have to shave your head and support your candidate with hatred for all others.

It's always a good day to be a Democrat. Have fun today!

11. That sounds like fun!
I think that Chelsea is terrific, too. I may not agree with many of her parents' policies but they raised a great daughter. Please wave to Barack for me :)

Primary season is a blast, isn't it? Stay warm and dry up there and take lots of photos...

19. She's scheduled to speak. Not exactly the same thing. Speeches happen in halls
and auditoriums. This is a coffee house. It sounds more like a quick talk followed by a Q&A but I'll be sure to report back later. Right now I don't know what it is - haven't been there yet.

Obviously, Chelsea doesn't do big rallies or speeches anywhere. I like the idea of a more intimate gathering.

It's sure to be a fun day.
