This is an honest question, so answer accordingly |
|
If one of the candidates vowed to press for the trial and conviction of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney for crimes against humanity, would you change your vote to vote for that candidate?

21. panic from cornered sociopaths? what do you think Bush & Cheney would do if they knew |
|
their replacements were going to prosecute them?
I don't think the CIA and military would let them do anything too drastic, but their friends who do black bag jobs could wreck some havoc.

9. Probably. I would have to think of how much $$ and energy it would expend |
|
from other things that I think are a higher priority. I just don't groove on living a life of negativity but at the same time I really think it's criminal for Bush and Cheney to get away with what they have done to our country, Iraq and the entire world.

If we don't, it will leave a bitter taste in my mouth -- not doing what's right.

24. Yes. Its the sole serious concern I have about Clinton. |
|
Given that evidence suggests her husband decided against prosecuting GHWBush / Reagan crimes, I think it's safe to say with 99.5% certainty that Hillary won't prosecute W., either.
Problem is, with Barak, that certainty slips only to about, oh, 97% or so.

|
Do you think the Bush/Cheney military-corporate regime would actually risk that happening? If one of our candidates intends to pursue prosecution of * and company, I want them to keep quiet about it until the very last minute. I want them to be safely elected and inaugurated before they say anything about it.

And not engage in juvenile "tit-for-tat". "You tried our guy, so now we'll try yours."
That is EXACTLY what it will look like, and the precise opposite of what this country needs.

And I didn't say there wasn't. But can you think of a better way to energize the thugs on the right and torpedo our chances for a long-term progressive majority where we can undo the damage? All because of some petty need for revenge?
My meds are fine. Grow up.

that 99.9% of the rest of the democratic party that does not post here would say NO to this kind of stuff and move forward fix the things that need fixin. Actually being effective government instead of wasting time and money on vandettas.
BTW....Clinton was not impeached for having an affair. Thats not illegal.

As it is now, I will vote for whoever the candidate is (dem) but I feel like I'm only doing it to keep a repub out of office, not because I'm actually voting FOR someone.
But if a candidate actually will go so far as to even SAY that the present admin belongs behind bars, I'd consider it a show of strength.
