So if it comes down to Puerto Rico. Will both Obama and Clinton be promising statehood? |
|
Talk about bargaining power!

They will say let the islanders decide...
I have a question...How does Bill Clinton's pardon of the FALN, I don't know what to call them, fit into their view of Hillary?

10. The Democrats in PR do not favor statehood. |
|
That would be something that the Republicans would offer, not the Democrats. The party that favors statehood is the pro Republican party.
I lived there for 12 years and visit twice a year.
They like the Clintons quite a bit. I definitely think that Obama would have his work cut out for him in order to win those delegates.

7. A lot of experts are saying it could |
|
Even Randi Rhodes and Keith O are talking about it. Personally I think Obama will have it wrapped up before we reach that point. Most of the next few states will go to Obama.

9. I know what you are saying but if Obama wins the majority of the rest of the states |
|
and takes a solid lead then there will be incredible pressure on the SD to go with Obama.

13. I'm an Obama supporter, but if it comes down to Puerto Rico ... |
|
then that means Obama hasn't gotten enough support in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania which it will be crucial for the Democrats to win in November. He should do very well in favorable states in the next month, and he just has to avoid getting trounced in Ohio and Pennsylvania to have a Puerto Rico-proof lead in pledged delegates.
So yes, it would be very odd to have a non-state deciding our nominee, and also annoying to know that Hispanics seems so unwilling to back Obama, but it's Obama's job to convince enough Ohio and Pennsylvania residents to support him so that won't be an issue.
