Why should anyone complain about the super delegates?

First, has anyone bother to see how the Republican Party determine their delegates?

1) Every state automatically receives at-large 10 delegates.
2) Every state receives 3 district delegates for each congressional district.
3) Every state their DNC committee man, DNC committee woman, and Republican State Chair receives a slot.

1) 2004 Electoral result
2) Each Republican US Senator (limit 2)
3) Republican Governor elected since 2004 (limit 1)
4) Having a majority US Representatives since 2004 (limit 1)
5) Having a majority in 1 chamber in the state legislature (limit 1)
6) Having a majority in 2 chambers in the state legislature since 2004 (limit 1)


Second, the bonus or super delegates for Democratic and Republican Parties are 19.1 to 19.9% of total delegates for each party.

The main difference between the two parties are that delegates are divided based on election results in the Democratic Party but ALL delegates are won by the top vote getter in the Republican Party.

IF Barack Obama ends up having more delegates and having won more states and the SD's end up deciding this, it will have the same effect as that of the SCOTUS on subverting the democratic process AND the democratic party circa 2000-it'll rip this party apart into shreds

There are two arguments the superdelegates will consider.

"Pledged delegates," and "popular vote." It can go either way, though "pledged delegates" is probably more likely to be the metric of their chosing.

If they did chose the popular vote to decide (because the pledge delegate totals are not very far spread from one another), would you be upset?

6. Why would you predicate it based on winning the most states?

States are not equal when it pertains to population or even based on votes for Democratic candidate in the last Presidential election. Idaho should not be given equal status with California or New York.

Will Obama have the most delegates without including SD's? Why should SD's all be winner take all in each state? We aren't operating under the Republican Party rules. These are Democratic Party rules and they were approved by a vote consisting of DNC members from each state. I don't see Massachusetts going all for Clinton or Obama and why should they? Why should US Representatives throw their vote to the state-wide winner when they only represent constituents of their district?
