Who are the GOP most afraid of in the general election?? Why it's Hillary! |
|
We are being played by the GOP man in to thinking that Hillary is easy pickings. That is so NOT the case, otherwise why all the hysteria to declare her the candidate who can't win??? She SO can and is to me the FDR of our generation. Obama can be the JFK but honestly we need an FDR style PREZ right now!!!!!

1. Ignore what the RW says. It's Hillary |
|
They're using reverse psychology. And the GOP has never been afraid to attack non-white candidates, contrary to what the big fat idiot says.

When you listen to the candidates, only one person knows what they're talking about, it's Hillary.

From looks of corporate donors lists, the GOP is doing more than crossing fingers.

4. The Great Triangulator is NOT FDR. |
|
And "afraid" of Hillary is one thing the right wing is not. "Salivating" would be more accurate. She's the only chance they've got of tarring our candidate badly enough to keep the White House.

FDR was so hated by the establishment that big business tried to fund a MILITARY COUP against him.
But hey, keep spinning.

Seriously, if you don't see that she's the one they would rather run against, you're deluding yourself.

5. Every poll and every Republican I know disagrees with you |
|
I don't know Rush Limbaugh, but I know many local Republicans that always say that they would rather have Clinton win the nomination.
These people aren't as smart as you think. They say that they think Clinton is easier, that's not some trick. They really do think Clinton is easier because they pay attention to the polls and the attitudes Republicans have with Clinton when compared to Obama.

A Clinton nomination would be like throwing a slab of meat to a pack of starving wolves, they're foaming at the mouth.
It's funny how so many people keep going on about supporting whoever the dem nominee is no matter what, because it's better then the republican. They fail to see that nominating Hillary would help put a republican in the oval office more then anything.

7. Ha. Pat Buchanan said it best months ago, "We're counting on Hillary to bring us together." |
|
He was speaking of Republicans.
That was before he saw that Hillary might not win the nomination. Now he spends his time as a pundit talking up Hillary's qualifications for being President, etc. A Republican talking up her qualifications? After he said he's counting on her bringing the shattered Republican Party together?
Dream on. (Polls further indicate that Hillary would find it harder to win the G.E. than Obama - and Edwards, too.)

that the pukes prefer to run against her and think they can beat her. Just take a spin around the right side of the blogosphere. Just as DUers and lefty pundits thought McCain was the strongest and Huckabee the weakest, so the right thinks Obama is the strongest and Hillary the weakest.

10. I know many republicans here in Mississippi who will vote for Hillary in the GE. |
|
The republicans hate Hillary's views on a lot of issues but they also like the fact that she can get things done. Mississippi is ready for universal health care and getting the hell out of Iraq. Most of the African-American women here, like myself, are supporting and donating to Hillary. Obama is winning the black men vote because they like him, not because his policies are better.

11. Survey: Republican women support Hillary Clinton but not Democratic men |
|
Why they fear Hillary...
www.associatedcontent.com/article/430821/survey_republican_women_support_hillary.html
Rasmussen survey report show that Hillary Clinton has the support of a good number of Republican women, but she loses just about the same level of support from Democratic men - and 18% gain from the women and as 20% loss from the men. ... The Rasmussen Reports released state polling data that bears out the same gender gap trends in Ohio, Michigan, and North Carolina. ... In the eight head to head polls that are used in this report, Clinton's best was the poll where she picked up 25% of the support from Republican women and her weakest was the one where she got just 10% ... Another Rasmussen Reports survey shows that most Americans say they are willing to vote for a woman for President. However, they are less sure about their peers. This is especially true among senior citizens.

12. Hillary is a sure bet for Republicans |
|
She'll be easier to beat than Obama (at least according to current polls) and if she does get elected they'll take advantage of all of the hatred the republican base has for her to push for a republican majority in 2010 or a repub president in 2012. They're apathetic enough about McCain that they believe a Clinton presidency might be better for them in the long run.

18. Really? I must have been fooled |
|
by my father. My parents are a mixed family, living in WA, and I just called to encourage them to go caucus(aprox 15 minutes ago). My father(the R)and I rarely agree on anything political. He said today, and I quote, "I am encouraging people to switch over to the democrats and vote for Hillary, now that McCain has won"... His reasoning... McCain will beat Hillary because of his "strength of charicter". Then there was another little stomach turning bit about whether I thought I could take the torture that St McCain went through. Whatever else my dad may be(an incompassionate jerk, for instance), a liar is not it. My little window into GOPdom says they really do think Hillary will be easy pickings.
Scary crap. I thought my dad was smarter than that. He'll never be a dem, but I thought i had him at least thinking a little. He's not even a Limburger R, the only news he listens to is public radio. Aparently living in bumfuck, WA, has turned him back to the dark side, though.

The GOP has been strategizing a campaign against Hillary ever since 2000, and possibly before.
She's the candidate they are prepared for, because they believed the hype that she was inevitable. My sources within the RNC say there's no "Plan B" and that they are scrambling.

|
Look what happened to candidates that they were really afraid of, Kucinich, Richards, Edwards, no press time, not even an honorable mention, and they fade away. Now if they didn't want The Clintons, they wouldn't even be a topic. And that's be for we get into who is controlling the black boxes your voting on.
