Hillary is the best candidate and ,,, |
|
I want her to win but if she doesn't, I will enjoy watching the sheer panic which I am now starting to see on the pundits faces when the reality of a black man as their president is put in their faces. If he does win I will enjoy watching Glenn Breck, Slannity,O'lielly, limburger, and a whole slew of the republicons as they begin to explode on television. In the beginning they let their hate of Hillary blind them and they have pounding on her non-stop for years.
They never thought that Obama would go this far as they weeded out all of the other good candidates. As they have come closer and closer to the reality that a black man may be the leader of this country they are starting to back off just a little tiny bit on Hillary, but not really. In the past week I have been watching it as I look at their eyes when they are discussing the primaries among each other and they are clearly afraid of Hillary but now they are beginning to be afraid of Obama because they are afraid now that he may win. Hillary is the best candidate overall...

4. If experience is the key issue in November....then McCain wins |
|
Is this the issue you want it to be?

10. Mc Cain is a warmongering nut... |
|
and the only thing he talks about is war, his experience of stay the course will not help him in winning and the war is effecting the economy which most people will be worrying about... He is a loser.

12. you and I both know he favored the Iraq War...but so did Hillary! |
|
Here we have a Republican candidate who would be an ideal one to campaign against on one of the single most important issues: Iraq. But with Hillary, she can't because she will look like she only changed for political expediency.
If Clinton goes against McCain, sorry, but McCain will use experience against her...and he will lick his chops at all the Hillary quotes of this primary season extolling experience. Obama has experience running with a theme un-related to experience.
What's more, although we know McCain has sucked up to Bush too much, he has the PERCEPTION of being a maverick, and the media will help foster this PERCEPTION. End result, if Obama runs against McCain Obama still holds on to the independents. If Hillary runs againstl McCain, McCain gets many of the independents. McCain has taken unpopular positions on principle....I don't think i can remember ANY...EVER....unpopular positions "finger-in-the-air Hillary" has made. I challenge the Hillary Herd to point to any positions she has made that were unpopular at the time. Unless your tongues have got you tied....

18. Not to mention he's even older than Reagan was |
|
And he's had a longer list of health problems the last decade than Reagan had when he was in the White House. McCain's health & age will be a campaign issue, as will his choice of a VP for those very reasons. Which is why I'm hoping for Huckabee.
Obama/Richardson vs McCain/Huckster - picture the landslide

3. So you are pointing out Obama is BLACK....way to race bait |
|
It get so sick and tired of the veiled racism.
The singular descriptive of Barack Obama is not that he is black. It may be the only thing some notice....but that is their problem

and I am tired of people trying to pretend that it won't be a factor when going against the republicons. They will use it to frighten their base and they also will use religion no matter what religion he says he is. I have already heard it some are afraid that he will send troops to Africa and they are trying to use his father's background. All of these things will be brought out in the general election. I am not saying this his base is...

19. You are...in Hillary's words...."irresponsible and frankly naive" |
|
1) The Democratic Party has to stand for something. If we, as a party, cannot stand up and say we are going to nominate the best candidate....whether white, black, hispanic, male, female....but instead worry about whether a female or a black will be viewed by republicans....if we choose to let the republicans select who our candidate is going to be....then we don't deserve to be Democrats and we don't deserve to win!
2) In several polls, McCain does much better against Hillary than he does against Obama. Has it friggin occured to you that not everyone thinks in terms of sex or in terms of race? Has it occured to you that independents favor Obama but they also like McCain...so if Hillary is the nominee, the independents will vote for McCain but if Obama is the nominee they will vote Obama?
3) Seems to me that there ARE some people who will use one's race and religion, even making up someone's religion....right here in the Democratic Party! We don't have to wait for the Republicans....we have this sickening slime racist, nativist, anti-Muslim puke hatred right here in the Democratic Party....except it is more subtle and phrased in intelligent-souding verbage. But it is equally slime and equally dangerous to the future of our country.

5. She is the best candidate and she has way too much support to just fade away into the night |
|
She should get on the ballots as a third party candidate if she loses the primary. I think Obama's supporters deserve no less than a three way race.

Sorry, but I really oppose Hillary's candidacy. But I have a lot more respect for Hillary than you obviously do. Hillary would never run on a 3rd party to split the party. I will give her that. You, apparently, won't.
