How to check for dupes. It's really not that complicated.

If you're a donor, go to "search" and enter the text of your headline. If you see three threads in the search results that contain the info you want to post, then DON'T post a new thread. Go to one of the threads already created and add your thoughts/info there.

If you're not a donor, go to the front page of the forum, and click "find" on your browser. Enter the text you want to post and click find. Do the same on page two. If there are already three similar threads, then post your thoughts/info there.

This forum is getting bogged down with dupes and nearly identical thread topics. Please do us all a favor and check for dupes before you post.

I think I'm going to just start ignoring dupe threads.

Until the new rule, anyway. Maybe when the new thread limit is in place, people will be more judicious on what they post.

I think that thread limit is a GREAT idea! It should make people a bit more focused on what they want to "waste" their number of posts on discussing..!

People won't risk posting dupes because most dupes fall down after a half dozen replies.
