Clinton Attack Machine Going AWOL? |
|
I've heard repeatedly from Hillary supporters that the Clinton Attack Machine would be better equipped to destroy McBain in the GE. I've also heard that Hillary fights for the progress of the Democrat agenda not to fulfill political ambitions but because it's in her progressive bones.
So I'm wondering if she'll continue the fight against misguided conservatives even if she isn't the nominee? If Clinton meant what she's said, won't she and her formidable "attack machine" still do everything possible to make sure our party wins back the executive branch?

6. It's quite revealing really. |
|
Though I don't think I worded the original post in a way that'll encourage a serious response from a Hillary supporter.

2. Obama has a pretty well-oiled machine in place |
|
If Obama needs Hillary to fight his battles...why not just vote for Hillary?

3. Nowhere did I imply Obama needed Hillary to fight his battles. |
|
My question pertained to the implication that Hillary's continued service in the fight against the GOP is predicated on her getting the nomination.
I do agree Obama's machine does appear to be well-oiled, with donations from ordinary Americans!

The rest were scattered about undermining any other Dem who stood up to oppose Bush. Like Bill defending Bush throughout his 2004 book tour: http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/19/clinton.iraq/And Carville undermining Ohio Dem voters: http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/oct/07/did_carville_tip_bush_off_to_kerry_strategy_woodwardAnd, of course, Hillary stood with Bush against Kerry in 2006: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk1k0nUWEQg

she tries "every day to figure out how to help somebody".
I'm still trying to figure out who she's aiming that at.

9. WHAT Clinton Atttack Machine? Name one attack it ever made. |
|
When you accuse someone of having an 'attack machine,' you have to have specific, concrete, provable examples of such attacks in mind.
But remember, an attack is not a political difference. It is not a challenge to debate the issues, nor is it putting a person's true record in a disagreeable light. (e.g., It is NOT an attack for BO to criticize HRC for her IWR vote.) An attack is the deliberate use of dishonesty, innuendo, and slander to paint a false and negative picture of your opponent.
Show me where the Clintons have EVER done that.
If you can't think of any real attacks, and instead can only offer deliberate misinterpretations of what somebody said and try to couch those obvious misinterpretations as attacks, then you, yourself, are a vicious attack machine.
You can easily prove I'm wrong about this by listing for us the top ten attacks ever launched by the "Clinton Attack Machine."
Hell, try to list even the top three.
My bet is that you won't be able to do it. Because there IS no Clinton Attack Machine -- there is only the Clinton Derangement Syndrome.
And you've got it.

12. I wasn't speaking of negative attack ads. |
|
But as an example the Clinton Attack Machine attacked the idea that Barack was against the Iraq War as a fairy tale.
