If Zogby says that Clinton is "slightly" trailing McCain and Obama... |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-15-08 10:47 AM by Lirwin2
Then we know that in reality she's at least 30% ahead of each.

My view of zogby has that its always leaned a bit in our favor. He had Gore over Bush in the end of 04.

A pollster's job is to tell us to the best of his or her ability how people are thinking whatever the results are...

6. It's actually been really funny to watch, over the last three months, the opinion of DU invert. |
|
It used to be Obama supporters whining pathetically about how polling was wrong, or crooked, or conspiratorial, or otherwise biased in favor of Clinton. Meanwhile, Clinton supporters remained on the side of reality.
Now, of course, that the polling favors Obama, Clinton supporters are whining pathetically about how polling is wrong, or crooked, or conspiratorial, or otherwise biased in favor of Obama. And now, Obama supporters are sitting on the side of reality.
If Clinton regains the edge, I of course expect the camps to switch again.

9. I call Zogby wrong ... |
|
well, er ... like ... he IS wrong and by many percentage points and nearly ALL the time any more ...
Don't worry -- the Z-man will continue to spin it for Obama and the rest of the republicans. The problem is ... no one believes him anymore.

8. I did notice when it was a statistical tie -- 49%-48% -- she was "losing." |
|
I think Obama was ahead of McCain by 3 points, which might still have been within the margin of error -- I don't know, since they didn't mention the margin of error at all. (This was msnbc.)
It would have been more accurate to say that all were essentially tied, as well as to mention that none have launched a general election campaign yet and it's still VERY early for those polls to be meaningful!
