1. The "no" votes -- is this evidence of "stop the Clintons at any cost" |
|
thinking? It certainly is a pertinent question at this point.

2. Please don't just blame the NO's on Obama folks... |
|
There is enough temper tantrums on both sides.
I dearly hope Obama is our nominee - but Hillary would still get my vote.
Anything less is placid support of the war monger puke bastard machine. If someone is a NO voter, WTF even post on DU?
At the end of the day --- we are supporting the Dems right??? DEMOCRATIC underground right?

10. It's tempting to just ignore those no votes, |
|
but not wise, IMO. I want to minimize the chance of electing the pro-Iraq policy McCain.

12. But why attribute them to a specific candidate? |
|
There's thread after thread of followers on BOTH sides moaning and threatening that they will ONLY vote for their chosen candidate in the GE.

I've seen just as many "I won't vote if the Dem nominee is Obama" as I have seen of Clinton. Just as many.

I'd be real interested in learning who cast the "No" votes and why... Probably serve as a real indication of why there is so much consternation around here lately.

15% would support McCain over Obama or Hillary (depending on which they don't support)? :wow: :wtf:
I hope this changes before November.

19. would the repubs have been better off without a Bush presidency? |
|
To me, Obama is the Democratic version of Bush. He has no experience, no particular qualifications, and his plans don't hold up under scrutiny. I also see no difference between emotional rhetoric about faith and prayers versus the same nonsense that promises hope and inspiration.
I have literally spent MANY hours every week, not to mention thousands of dollars of my own money trying to rebuild the Democratic party in my area, and I honestly believe it has made a difference. Right now it's looking as though it was all just a waste of time and effort though. There is no gain to the world, the country or the party through Obama.
McCain is not Huckabee. he has some good qualifications, and despite his claims about staying in Iraq, some insiders think he would have us out of there fairly quickly. I think McCain also has a genuine desire to do right by the country and its people. Had you told me a year ago that I would ever vote repub, I would have bet my house you were wrong, but today I think that if Obama is the candidate, a McCain vote is the only reasonable choice.

20. 100 years in Iraq??? And you prefer McCain! |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-17-08 06:22 PM by RiverStone
If you, jbm, see McCain as better for our country, our personal liberties, our planet, our likelihood of getting into a war with Iran, and continuing the failed policies of Shrub....
If you really see him as better than Obama then (as McCain says 10X per speech) my friend, you have seriously lost your way...
There are no words of reason that I can fathom to try and sway someone that far gone.
Since I believe Obama will be our Democratic nominee - guess you will be voting for a rethug named McCain. :puke:
WARNING: Voting for a puke may make you very sick.
Damn sorry about that jbm, can I send you some Rolaids?
