Obama supporters: Please don’t give up. |
|
This election is very important. In 2000 and 2004 the presidential elections were stolen. We the American people pretty much rolled over and took it. No more.
I attribute the tremendous turn outs at the primaries and caucuses to the fact that a large number of people are tired as hell of the politics of the Bush's and even of the Clinton's. We look to Obama as a chance to change the corrupt corporate controlled government. We don’t see Clinton as someone that will do that.
The large turn-outs are a great start but far from the answer America needs. This momentum must be continued even if there are major set backs. For example:
Should Clinton win by some means, do not be discouraged. Continue with the fight. Support her for President then work to help her understand our needs. Work from the bottom to gain ground for progressive candidates. Support candidates like Kucinich who is being defeated, not by the republicans, but by the corporate power machine.
If Obama wins, your work is not over. He will need continued help to off-set the influence by the corporatists and their lackey republicans and Democrats.
Please continue the momentum even if we have a set-back.

14. Set backs are rare in politics (sarcasm), but Sen Clinton might win. |
|
If you remember 2000 and 2004 you should understand that anything is possible. I appreciate your optimism and hope you maintain it in the rare case of a "set back".

6. I'm going to vote for whoever is the Democratic nominee in November, |

which is a lot more than can be said for many of the Clinton supporters, if you take them at their posted word.

I have NO intention of giving up at all and I would hope other Obama supporters feel the same. I know enough of them IRL to know that they likely will not give up.
BTW, I wonder what "nickname" the Hillary supporters here will come up with for us this week? So far, we've been called "Obamababies, Obamabozos, Obamessiahs, Obamamaniacs, Obamaramas" and "O-bots." Can't wait to see what they'll come up with next!

20. That's good of course, but my point is that you will need to continue to work your ass off |
|
after the GE. Even if Obama wins, he will be hit from every corner. The corporatists and their lackeys will throw everything they have at him. We desperately need to kick out the DINO's from the party. We need to work together to keep the Dennis Kucinich's in the Congress. Keep fighting.
