53. anyone committted to better government and real democracy should support this statement folks.
If you didn't like the Bush campaign attacks on Kerry why would you ignore the negative campaign tactics Hillary has used? you either want a race on the issues or you want something else. And unless you want a draft and more wars and permanent tax cuts for the wealthy you will vote for the democratic candidate even if it isn't your gal. I said I would vote for her if she won the race. I have no intention of allowing McCain to continue the Bush policies and a draft. Regardless of what is said on this thread if you are committed to democratic principles you will vote for the democratic candidate.

loss. That is her right and by itself would be less important in revealing her true nature. But with other statements by Penn, Bill, Ferguson, and others within her campaign and Chelsea's comment about clairvoyance it reveals a really troubling character flaw in Hillary, in her advisor's and in her family as she is the head of this campaign and she is responsible for the attitudes and statements of those she pays to get her elected.

This thread reflects what was observed of Hillary's behavior after multiple losses. If anyone has an issue with it, I suggest you go call the Clinton campaign and bitch to them. Its them not the OP with the attitude problem. Democrats should act with the attitude of non devisive behavior. Pointing it out is hardly threatening anyone here.

63. Please remember, there are two sides to most things. democratic principals
for those of us here in '00 and '04 were melded to our core. I supported Dean then Kerry. Two losses to candidates I gave money to and worked for so my diabetic son would not face what Bush did to research. The loss was deeply felt by our family. So seeing your candidate of choice loose is familiar. Just know I appreciate your dedication to your gal and hope you can find a reason to like my guy.

73. Then you could help by calling the attack dogs off.
As in most of the primaries, I watch and listen to all the candidates and winnow my way toward a choice. In 2004, I was Gore all the way. Very upset when he picked LIEberman. I now believe that LIEberman cost Gore the election (in addition to FL). I really liked Dean in 2004 but my heart was with Edwards. Being from Massachusetts, I never cared for Kerry, but in the end, he got my vote (naturally).
This year I had wavered between Edwards and Clinton, and would have liked to have heard Obama, but honestly, the negative stuff that I see from the Obama people really turned me off. Not to say that the Hillary camp had its disruptors, but the Obama camp seems more determined, to me, to want and need to take her down at all costs.
I do find it pretty cool that this year we have two amazing candidates. Substance and style, a winning combo. My concern, though, at the end of the day, is that style may not be enough to beat the republic slime machine. If DU can repeatedly bring up crap on Hillary with such vim and vigor, you know that the pukes will use it in the GE on her. Her negatives are high, but can they truly go any higher if we are united? My hope is that, if Obama is the nominee, that we WILL unite for him. I am not sure, honestly, if it would have happened if it were the other way around.

Donnie McClurkin.

Selective vision. Hypocrisy is always revolting, but with such glee and ease it is really awful.

Yes, your candidate is every bit as negative as the other one. But you don't mind the gay bashing so much. So you ignore that it happened. But it did, Blanche, it did. So you are fine with sermons against entire minorities but get in a huff about a phone call from Clinton to Obama to congratulate him? Priorites are skewed to say the least.

65. Araxen
Araxen. I am a supporter of Senator Obama. I am an American and someone who loves American Democracy. Do you have any doubt that bush and co have brought this once great country to her knees??? Do you have any doubts that IF we make it to the next election and Senator mCcain gets elected that American Democracy will be in all likelihood deceased? Do you have any doubts that a President mCcain will drop a nuke on Tehran?

If you even sorta agree with what I have said so far, then you too want a DEMOCRATIC nominee to be in our sacred White House. Senator Clinton may yet turn things around and should she do this AMERICA will need you and and every American we can muster to show her our support. She may not be your or my ideal candidate but there is much good we can say about her as well...especially when contrasted with the mCcain bull-shit express!

It grows likely that our man Obama will get the nomination. We need each and every vote we can beg borrow or steal in order to not only defeat Senator mCcain but to stomp him with a mandate from We The People. There should be no doubts in anyones minds here that WE THE PEOPLE WANT CHANGE! Both Senator Clinton and Senator Obama can and will give us that change. If we are to get that mandate by an overwhelming defeat of mCcain, then we will need the help and support of the very folks you seek to alienate: Senator Clinton supporters. I ask you to stop alienating our allies.

I will even ask you to join us: Show support for the very person who you see as a rival in order to gain votes for Senator Obama should he get the nomination. I know that this will be a stretch but it is for the best and you know that to be true...you know what I ask of you Senator Obama would ask of you as well. Please stop driving away our potential allies...we need them and they need us and AMERICAN DEMOCRACY NEEDS US AND TEHRAN NEEDS US AND DAMN IT THE ENTIRE WORLD NEEDS US! Got it? This is MUCH MUCH bigger than this pettiness.

:patriot: Join us. :patriot: :patriot: :patriot:

68. This Obama supporter would suggest you rethink that. DRAFT is
what we will have if McCain is elected. Permanent tax cuts for the wealthy. Hillary is better than McCain, problem is most polls show her barely beating him with limited coattails for the down tickets candidates. Our chance to get more dems from red states in both houses are diminished with her. Hence another strong reason to vote for Obama. if your not going to help put a dem in office I have issue with you.

and I'm not beholden to any one party. I will not hold my nose for anybody I dislike. I will not vote in November if it's Clinton/McCain. If anything I will write in Obama in November.

70. This is what you would say to the people of Tehran???
They are utterly defenseless against senator mCcain...you know this is so. Should he get into the White House he may just do that or something similar. What will happen to America with an angry world seeking her demise???? This is WAY WAY bigger than this pettyness, this is about the survival of American Democracy and our standing in the world...this is about millions and millions of innocent non-Americans who stand to get ther countries invaded or nuked. I utterly can not believe that a fellow DUer could be so mean spirited that he or she would say: FUCK OFF WORLD, my candidate did not win so you ALL must suffer!

Well it IS a free country, you do as you pleese...

Just consider my words...I am not flamin ya even if it sounds like it. In my estimation we need you. Should Senator Clinton get the nomination we will need YOU and every single Barrack supporter we can get. Should Senator Obama get the nomination we will need you and every single Hillary supporter we can get. You already know that Senator Obama would agree with these words. He would want YOU to support Senator Clinton over Senator mCcain. Well, he would be right. join us...we really DO need YOU.

71. No candidate should quit.
That means Clinton as well as the others who already did.

75. YES WE CAN....
...is the extent of the knowledge of the issues of the typical Obama supporter. Hillary supporters are much better read and informed.

76. The blowback from the negative campaigning was really sweet.
If she continues, she'll probably go down by a larger margin in Texas.

77. Wrong. She didn't start soon enough. MSM during the early debeates cried for Obama to go negative.
And when he did, places such as the hate-mongers on MSNBC gleefully attempted to claim victory for the campaign being turned around.

79. Are you serious? Obama has never really gone negative.
The Clintons could be seriously trashed and would be by the Republicans, but Obama has been attempting to take the anti-Rovian high road.

82. Sorry, you're simply delusional if you believe that.
Or perhaps you were busy and missed it. Or maybe where Obama went negative was of no importance to you.

83. ANYONE CAN. It's McCain, remember?
Jeeeeez. I really don't remember all this childish gloating when Hillary actually won a few...it's getting pretty disgusting...

She's not out of the race, yet, is she? Shit - she didn't even concede Wisconsin - what makes people believe she'll concede anything else?
