10. the other poster set the joke up by saying watch out (in regards to seniors)
I just finished it off with what first popped into my head.

we can joke around here, you know. just because it's politics doesn't mean we can't have fun.

12. If You Or I Made A Similar Joke About African Americans, Jews, Gays, EtCetera, We Would Be Lambasted

And rightfully so...

Plus I don't know if you know or not but breaking a hip is a traumatic event for most old people...Many of them never regain their independence...

I just don't think dissing entire groups is funny... I guess it's the "liberal" in me...

20. Dear Lord!
It's an old line from the old Bill Murray movie "Stripes".

And it really quite appropriate around here sometimes.

Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 11:37 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
And , calling a guy "Francis" unless his name is Francis is "fighting words"...

on edit- it's ironic that my original point was never addressed...

I can come up with stereotypes for any group that most folks would find not to be innocuous ... I just don't find broken hip and the elderly stories funny...

6. I am HRCs demographic.
(female over 30) I'm just smart enough to realize that she isn't the right choice right now. She can't even manage her campaign, and fire her cronies. All she has is negativity. So in the process of trying to destroy Obama, she's tarnishing the party and splitting us apart. Just like a clinton... Divisive and thinking that we actually owe her something.

8. Check out the matchups in that poll

Obama leads McPain 47-40
McPain leads Hillary 50-38

Not that Zogby is the most reliable pollster, but this is yet another poll indicating that Hillary would be doomed in the GE should she win the nomination, while Obama at least starts with a solid lead.

19. That just shows even moreso why Zogby is an idiot
Do you actually believe there is a 19 point difference between either Hillary or Obama vs. McCain? I don't.

Zogby is to be ignored.

11. Reuters and Zogby are not voters. By definition they're including people who haven't voted yet.
So it's "worth" nothing. But go ahead, post it. The low-post, newcomer Obama spammers always do.

What do you expect from people who are convinced that making noise makes something true?

Remember how popular Howard Dean was before people realized his support was regional?

You do realize the party leadership, i.e. Dean and some others, were responsible for cutting Florida out of the convention? That couldn't possibly have a thing to do with the decision, no...

Let me know when you realize you're on the lip of a bubble.

14. Obama Is Clearly On A Roll...Zo(m)by Is A God Awful Pollster
I don't see the two statements as being mutually exclusive...

It's too early to call this election, imho... But Obama will have to do it without me... I will neither support or oppose his candidacy...

I find it harder and harder to like/support Hill and more and more am buying Oboma ...

But, as noted, Zogby has been gawdaweful at times this election cycle, PARTICULARY in positive outliers in relation to Obama ...
