Lenny Bruce had a bit about junkies that summed up DU pretty well... |
|
The bit was about if all the junkies in California figured out that they were actually all undercover informants of one of a dozen law enforcement agencies. That all the buying and selling was just different agencies selling to each other, all looking for "mister big." (And the junkies all had to keep using dope because they were all informants, and their handlers wouldn't let them quit.)
I don't know if everyone in GDP is sincere, or nobody is, or what... It seems that half the posts have zero benefit for the candidate they purportedly favor.
(Sean Hannity really nailed Obama! All Hillary supporters should drown themselves! Why Nader rules: There is no difference between Obama and Bush)
Maybe someday we will find out that half the Obama supporters are actually Hillary supporters trying to make Obama look bad, and half the Hillary supporters are Obama supporters trying to make Hillary look bad, and the rest of the board is republicans trying to make everybody look bad.
This is not a suggestion anyone in particular has a false agenda... it is an observation that it no longer matters whether anyone has a fake agenda! If everyone switched sides over-night the board would look about the same.

First you are a very good writer. Secondly, sometimes I think each side has their "Tokyo Roses" and "Baghdad Bobs".

4. Thirdly, Lenny knew what was going on. |

In heaven, Lenny and Malcolm X and Martin Luther King are all drinking irish coffee together. Wish they were all here today to help.

5. Rec'd, with a suggestion |
|
Treat everyone on the board with respect, and assume that they are honestly representing their views; if they get profane, abusive, etc, there's a little link called "ignore". You've got nothing to gain to listening to such people, anyway.

6. But often these things need to be answered (like the massive McClurkin demi-urge), handshake-gate... |
|
and blizzards of claims of things like "plagiarism" (the last of which Obama really handled well in the debate). There is a saying that if you repeat an accusation often enough (swiftboating) it sticks.....
