Wait, didn't Hillary wear traditional muslim clothes when visiting Middle East countries |
|
I can't find the picture but I do recall Hillary and Chelsea visiting countries in or near the Middle East and wearing traditional garbs of those region. I don't think that they were wearing Burqas or other clothing that completely cover the woman, but I do believe they wore the scarf over their heads.
So what is the big fuss that Obama visited Kenya (which btw, he is of Kenyan descent - his father was from Kenya) and wore traditional clothing of that region when he visited there?

1. Obama didn't even wear the full gear. |
|
He looked like an American tourist playing dress-up with a couple of things thrown on top of his t-shirt and khakis.

3. There isn't any from Clinton. That is the big smear. Actually her campaign said they don't |
|
understand the big flap over him wearing it. She had done it herself many times. Of course in DU world it will be used to smear her for things she didn't do. So old.

4. I really have to stay away from this forum |
|
There are too many non-scandal scandals. I think there are ten or twelve threads about the Muslim clothes on the first page of the GD-P forum alone. It's nearly all Obama supporter outrage, but it's attention nonetheless.

You're right - it is a non-scandal. And I didn't post this because I'm a Hillary supporter. I voted for Biden and opted to just not support either of these candidates until one of them gets the nomination.

6. Absolutely. Which is why using such a picture as a smear is despicable. |

8. Duh. That's what her campaign said today. They don't think clothes are an issue. |
|
And that is directly opposite from what Drudge says the 'campaign staffer' told him in the email he claims he received, that the photos would be controversial. She HAS worn traditional garb before. The campaign admits that. This is a Drudge smear, and desperate Obama supporters fell for it.

10. Hillary is not a dark skinned man with Hussein as his |
|
middle name. Barack has had to fight over and over again the insinuation that he is a Muslim terrorist. For the Clinton camp to use the traditional dress of his father's country as a way to further these accusations is disgusting.
And to make it worse they reply...."What, aren't you proud of your heritage?" How RW of them.
