Did Nader have a stroke or something?
Watching him on CNN, he is only talking out of one side of his mouth, the other side of his face does not move.

9. Not a full stroke, but a rare neural condition
It was actually caused, as he explained, by falling asleep with his face against an airplane window while it was in flight.

2. I have wondered that for a while now. I thought for sure he would not run this time due to
health concerns.

3. Weird.
Why is he running again? He knows he can only do damage.

It's interesting that last night on the radio, Nader lashed out at Bush and the horrible incompetency, the damage done by the nightmarish administration that crawled into the White House.

And yet, by jumping into the race, he'll MAKE SURE another Repub wins the election.

13. your fears are unfounded
The whole point behind the 50 -state strategy as articlated by Howard Dean was to strengthen and differentiate the Democratic party to voters.

Th past strategies articulated primarily by the DLC invloved making yourself as much like the opponent as possible and counting on yur candidate to win the tiny sliver of swing voters.

You may not have noticed, but the candidates we are backing, and in fact the 2006 results bear this out, are bringing hUGE numbers to the polls in roughly a 2:1 majority of Democrats.

The plan is to create a landslide, not win by less than 500,000 votes.

And so far , we're on track. Nader got .5% of the vote last time. We will win by 8-10 % if we can keep the DLC from meddling with our message.

4. He isn't fully thawed out yet.
Rove only pulls him out every four years for elections, then puts him back in the freezer.

10. Exactly, he had Bell's Palsy.
The effects can last for months or even for ever. I once attended a wedding where the groom had played basketball the day before and took a nap with the A/C going full blast and woke up to find half of his face paralyzed. Imagine how he looked at the wedding.......

If he opened his mouth fully, it would waft straight up, ya know?

8. My thought is this...........
If we, and the media IGNORE HIM, maybe he'll just go away quietly? He has to get a lot of signatures to get on the ballot, and from what I hear, here in Ct., he only has a couple hundred. Let's not be too worried about him.

11. Wake up, they never ignore him. He will get more press than Edwards
when he came in second in Iowa.

Telling me to "wake up"! Hillary??? I had a mother. She's dead. I don't need another! Maybe we should discuss it less on DU then if you're so worried about the MSM?

14. he has a lazy eye
I remember I went to MSG to cover his campaign rally there in 2000. I was standing 10 feet from him while he was up on stage with Michael Moore, Eddie Vedder, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Annie DiFranco, the woman who sang "Because the Night" and Ben something, I forget his name - some folk singer.

I took photos - I still have them. You could see his lazy eye then too.
