Hillary supporters only, please.
A clear case of realism tells me that despite our best efforts and desires, Obama is going to win the nomination. I hope we all can agree to support him if he does.

More importantly, I think we should be prepared to offer some much needed support to Hillary at the appropriate time, after she concedes (I know, it is even difficult for me to type this.). Can someone who is a sincere Hillary supporter and who has more computer literacy than I, organize a way to send our heartfelt congrats and regrets to Hillary just to let her know that there are millions of us out here who still support and appreciate her? She has faced many challenges and survived them well but this time it's different for her because so many people that she has worked with and worked for have deserted her for what they believe is a more promising candidate. I do not hold that against them if that is their true belief. But I do want Hillary to know and feel that countless others still regard her as a competent and decent person.

1. I agree. I know that Barbara Boxer loved the flowers that people sent her
a few years back when she challenged the electoral slate.

More to the point, I also think it's important to let the Obama campaign know that there ARE millions of Hillary supporters out there, that if he wins the nomination, we are disappointed, and that he needs to find a way to make sure we are acknowledged. Putting her on the ticket would be a good way to go.

Hillary is done. She will stick it out in the senate and then retire.

this is not directed at you. It was a question of what to do for a nice gesture to Hillary. Not all Hillary supporters care for Barack. And yes, I thinK Obama supporters are "duped". Obama is presenting hims43elf as something he is NOT> I do not LIKE your candidate and I have no obligation to.Go praise Obama on a Obama thread, or start another of the hundreds to join the rest of the idolatry.

19. So...
it would be okay for Obama supporters to call Hillary supporters JUST men-haters or men who have mommy issues?

Look, I don't care that you don't like Obama, but to totally knock down his supporters is childish.

I don't know, maybe it's a good idea (for the dem party) to lose some of its members who think in certain terms.

62. They are here because this is an open forum. There is a Hillary group for exclusive Hillary posts
where no one would be allowed to bother Hillary supporters if they wanted to talk amongst themselves.

That's what my fellow Kerry people do. As annoying as it can be to have people you don't want on a thread in GDP, it's to be expected.

Private conversations should be held on the private forum.

24. I think you are proving something here.Do you realize that most supporters of other candidates
consider the supporters of their opposition "duped", Don't you think that many McCain supporters are "duped"? Or do you think they are correct to believe McCain is the greatest thing next to sliced bread? What about the supporters of Romney? Were they "duped" ? Or are we not allowed to question the validity of democratic opposition? And you still haven't explained what you are doing flaming away in a thread that was specifically addressed to Hillary supporters.

If she gets the nomination, she will be villified around here, so there so in need to be here. Besides, then I will be working on the campaign. If she loses, I will be out of here because I have no one to work for. I will write-in her name in November.

have been equally bad in terms of occassionally crossing the line and distorting the truth. That's the way it goes in politics I suppose. I'd also add that there have been plenty of annoying Clinton supporters on DU. It isn't just the Obama ones being inappropropriate.

If you don't want anyone else around while you talk amongst yourselves, I suggest you talk on the Hillary group. Otherwise there will be people on this thread you didn't invite, and that will be perfectly fine because this is an open forum.

Saying "So and so only please" almost never works.

But for the most part nay sayers aren't allowed in the individual groups.

57. Okay, Hillary isn't my choice. But she and her supporters have my respect.
I was crushed when Edwards dropped out, and I appreciated how nice everyone on DU was when it became obvious he wasn't going to be the nominee.

Best of luck with this. I'm sure it will mean a lot to Hillary to hear your appreciation.

63. Agreed, I'll strongly support the Dem candidate
By the way, I'd like to see all the votes counted first. I had enough of stopping counting when bush* had enough to win in 2000.

75. I love you, Hillary, always have, always will
I hope Obama, if he is elected, learns a thing or two from you about e.g. health care!
