Sen. McCain *categorically* rules out VP run or party switch. |
|
Sen. McCain appeared on NBC's Today show with Sen. Evan Bayh to discuss the recent developments in Iraq. At the end of the interview, he responded to a question from Katie Kouric about being mentioned as VP with Sen. Kerry. Sen. McCain stated (paraphrasing), "I will not be a candidate for Vice-President and I will not be switching my party affiliation." When Ms. Kouric asked if it was time for the rumors and speculation to end, Sen. McCain replied, "Absolutely. It's not going to happen."
Can we move on now?

1. Good. We already have Zell Miller if we want a VP that thinks we are |
|
under solid moral leadership. I personally want a Democratic candidate as the VP, as I am sure Kerry does.

I still think it would be a ticket to near certain victory, but the man said what he said.

5. "The ticket to near-certain victory"?? |
|
Why don't we just nominate Bush for the Democratic ticket?
It would absolutely gurantee victory.

8. I don't approve of "outsourcing" our VP job. |
|
It should remain within the Democratic party.
