1. I hope he...
makes better laws than he does beer! The old "what does Coors Light and sex in a canoe have in common" joke comes to mind.

2. This is old news
I surmise that he would be a stronger candidate than the GOP congressman running against him in the GOP primary, against us. Mostly because of his celebrity status in Colorado. I predict Arnold campaigning for him. I also suspect that the CO GOP is already breaking towards nominating him overwhelmingly.

We need to frame him quickly as a spoon-fed Steve Forbes before the primary

3. Well, since that primary is today, it's a little late to frame him.
It's actually a caucus....but there's plenty of campaigning time for "Forbing" him.

5. I don't think the primary for senate candidates is today
you don't launch a bid formally the day before the primary. I think today is presidential

10. Salazar: "I'm a Bud man."
:D

From the Durango Herald:

(snip)

Attorney General Ken Salazar, the front-runner for the Democratic nomination, declined to comment on Coors' entering the race, other than to joke, "I'm a Bud man," referring to Budweiser, which also operates a brewery in the state.

Salazar's campaign manager, however, said there's not much difference between Coors and Schaffer.

"Peter Coors and Bob Schaffer both believe in the far right-wing agenda - one has bankrolled it, the other voted for it," Jim Carpenter said. "In the end, Ken Salazar has the proven ability to get things done for people, across party lines."

15. Uh, link?

Udall voted against it, and is throwing his support behind Salazar. Oddly enough, I can't find where the CO Attorney General might've weighed in on Iraq.

On edit: Never mind, I've done my own looking and found a Denver Post article where he says "the Senate was given significant misinformation" and "the United Nations was snubbed."

Yeah, between that, the affordable health care, the environment, and his criticism of the GOP for the deficit in the face of 100K lost jobs in the state, he's probably a Bushie. :eyes:

12. Ugh.
I don't think he'll win. More people dislike Coors than one might think.
