I'll make it real for you. We lose in '04, Kiss Roe v. Wade goodbye. |

Stevens will go. O'Connor will go. Maybe Kennedy. That's five votes may be six for subjugating women. Is it real for you yet?

Kerry is Bushlite, y'know. He has one ideologically impure speechwriter.

I'm just mocking certain people who claim they are for "change" while pretending Kerry is a neocon. I suppose they believe his positions on the environment, energy, civil rights, capital punishment, gun control, cutting pentagon waste, health care, etc. don't matter, since he is part of a Skull and Bones conspiracy to further the causes of the PNAC.

Kerry is by no means as near as an looney toon extremist as Bush. I may not agree with everything Kerry says but there is absolutely no way that he could every be as much of a incurious, insensitive, felonious robber barron as *.

the reichwing SCOTUS filth decided to vote against his conscious this year so as not to over turn Roe v Wade because America is not ready yet. That means when the shrub gets reselected and they have 2/3 in the senate you can kiss it goodbye, that will be one of the first rights to go. Then they will shred the constitution and bill of rights even more by the time the shrub is finished we wont even be able to vote as we will be declared tarrrest by the Nazi regime.

I am not sure that she will last another four years. Rehnquist will likely retire ant that will let Bush control selection of the Chief Justice.
Roe v. Wade is on the line in the next election. We can let Bush have four or five appointments.

We have someone who speaks to the leftist vote, and it's Ralph Nader in the GE, and Kucinich in the primary. These guys get ignored, crapped on, and no one votes for them. In the case of Nader, his hypocrisy makes it somewhat deserved, but Kucinich deserves at least more recognition.
So either the system or the people reject those leftist values. What are we going to do about it? I say we move the country left whenever and however possible, and replacing Bush with Kerry moves it left.

if Bush sits in Gore's house for another four years. Kiss all of our worker safety, environmental, civil rights, and health laws goodbye. Seeing Chief Justice Scalia for a loooonnng time is a chilling thought.

If the justices that pass the Rove/Pat Robertson litmus test get confirmed, we'll have creationism and mandatory prayer in the schools, and a state religion imposed.
America will become Iran.
I tell that to people and they don't believe me unless they've also read all that I have.

A vote to reelect Bush is a vote to put a Scalia majority on the Supreme Court for decades. Justices are elected for life. Future voters could elect a liberal president and a iberal Congress and we'd STILL have the Scalia majority deciding things for our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anybody who thinks that Kerry is not liberal enough for them ought to give that idea a good hard look.

14. right, getting Green elected in 2008 wont defend against theocracy |
|
if bush is able to appoint scalia types . and you know the republicans are going to appoint those young enough to be there for decades. if a liberal is elected in 2008 after bush gets to fill the supreme court with scalia type justices, legislation such as gay rights, abortion rights, rights for disabled, separation of church and state etc will all be overturned by the court.
i am a big support of john kerry, but this is one reason why i said i will be supporting whoever is the democratic nominee. it's one reason why i never even considered voting for anyone other than a democrat in 2000. if gore got into office, ginsberg who seems to be having health problems, and stevens who is old and will be retiring soon would probably have retired and allowed gore to appoint others in their place making those safe for us. but they have to hang on now as much as they can since bush would appoint right wingers.

I don't think the repugs will ever get rid of Roe v. Wade. It's too useful for them as a wedge issue, and a way of inciting the faithful. Restrictions, probably.

Woman-friends/relatives have said to me for years, "Oh they wouldn't really do that" as they voted for Reagan, then Bush, then Bush again.
Americans have this lovely quality of denial. It brought us 9/11. It brings us a host of environmental problems. It has given us a 30 year energy crisis that should've been solved 20 years ago.
These guys aren't fooling around.
Ignore them at our peril.

I am Pro Choice because i want control and autonomy over my own god damn body. NAFTA is anti choice to other women around the globe.NAFTA/WTO (and eventually the FTAA) has robbed women of their own self determination and autonomy.Corporations are fundmental extremists If it is wrong for the us gov to occupy my womb then its certainly wrong for the us gov to occupy iraq and to fund the israeli occupation of palestine. that said i live in texas and dont have to worry and vote for nader but if i lived in a swing state then i would vote for kerry and then throw up in the poll booth
