Is George W. Bush going to be allowed to have Dick Cheney answer
the questions for him in the Presidential Debates?

(Tried to ask this on Air America, couldn't get through).

1. Well, since we're electing a "team", why not? I mean, I think it's...

... really important for me to judge their "body language" and see how they interact together, don't you?

And of course, there's the fact that the moderator might have a lot of questions for them, and they'll be their to answer them, right?

(/SARCASM OFF)

It's truly AMAZING that people can hear this from their commander-in-chief (re the 9-11 Commission), and not have his approval rating fall to negative 20%.

2. oooohhhh...if only the press had the balls to...
EVERYTIME they were called on by scottie boy (at daily press briefings) or by bush* (at press conferences) rather than asking for bush's* answer, ask for cheney's:

bush: yes, Helen?

Helen Thomas: Mr president, what does VP cheney say about...

or

scottie: yes Mr. ???

Mr. ??? : What is vp cheney's opinion on...

and on and on. every question asked has to do with cheney. i dont think it would take two days to get them shook up on that.

3. If they ever let Helen say anything

I love Helen!
Since they don't let her ask a question anyway, why doesn't she go for broke and shout out his name...

Helen: Mr. President, Mr. President, Mr. President
President: Ignores
Helen: Mr. President, Mr.President
President : Ignores

It is a big gamble but if the press has any spine( and I'm not sure about that)they should rally around Helen because she is the senior member and she has been abused by this administration.

What does she have to lose? There are only a few months until this election and it would get the attention of the Media, hopefully the Seniors,it would show how abusive this administration is to people that disagree with them.

Am I way off base?
