|
obama made a conscious decision to go after the black bigoted vote and sacrifice the GBLT and run over them...
While the Clintons are the best friends the GBLT community ever had in high office...
It was a CONSCIOUS decision...
So now it has BACKFIRED - BIGTIME!!!
HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Deal with it...!!!

Than actual things that affect people. Olbermann is doing his best to bring the campaign back to reality, and Clinton supporters desperately want to avoid that.

|
Something the Clinton campaign is clearly opposed to. With all the things that are going wrong in this country right now it is completely befuddling to me as to why people are talking about this guy so much. The Clinton campaign and her supporters should be embarrassed and ashamed that they have exploited this crap so much.
But hey at least the Clinton campaign wants to save me 20 bucks in gas money over the summer. That should solve the problem.

I think he'd be on this even of some other Democratic candidate was the frontrunner. I think he feels what I feel, that her campaign tactics offend me as a Democrat and an American. Her campaign basically represents the absolute worst of politics and everything I despise about the Washington establishment political process.

43. Keith's disconnect is remarkable |
|
I can well understand taking sides, and even actively supporting a candidate. When declared openly and discussed freely, it can open insightful dialog. But Olbermann's conversion experience seems to have been immediate and profound. In brief, Keith Olbermann has fallen in love, and his devotion is total. All regular guests who have anything positive to say about Hillary have been shut out. Literally ALL his news about Obama is laudatory (or exculpatory), and ALL news about Hillary is derogatory. Richard Wolff and Eugene Robinson have been visibly caught in dilemmas lately, and Robinson is a clear Obama supporter. Even Rachel Maddow, certainly no shill for Clinton, has been treading on dangerously thin ice.
The first big show-stopper came when he made a Special Comment excoriating Hillary for Geraldine Ferarro's remarks; four days later, when the Wright story broke, he was silent, and soon began lecturing us on the grave moral error of Guilt By Association.
Keith earned a lot of respect over the past few years. He's blown more of it than he can really afford to lose. And, let me repeat, it is not from simply taking sides, it's from pissing away his reputation for scrupulous fairness. Eye-rolling, giggling, and snide one-liners are not conducive to the gravitas Olbermann seeks to cultivate -- but acting on belief in campaign spin is fatal.
Edward R. Murrow certainly had his favorites and scapegoats alike, but made sure to report the body of the news and widely consider its possible political interpretations. It is Keith who needs the good luck now. Once the heat of the campaign has cooled, all he will have left is a reputation for falling in love rashly and feverishly. Even as a Hillary partisan, I will rue that day.
