Today a commentator on CNN was complimenting Obama on opposing the gas tax break, and Blitzer
Edited on Thu May-01-08 08:18 PM by Levgreee
Said, in a hurried, rude tone, after the commentator had gone for about 40 seconds, "Yeah, we get it".

Before that there had been another commentator talking about the general energy situation for about 3 minutes, so it's not like that guy was going that long.

It was like it just irritated the heck out of Blitzer for someone to be praising Obama for something he did.

Has anyone seen this happen in other situations? I was very surprised by it, because I had seen advocacies quite a number of times before and the host was always congenial afterwards.

1. Blitzer is big on Clinton talking points
Members of his political panel have even mentioned it.

5. I think that he simply feels that is what his job is to try and restate the other sides point of
view regardless how stupid it is.

7. Which is why he knows that it doesn't work.....on the other hand
Clinton was against giving gas tax holidays before she was for it. So who's pandering now?....which is the issue now.

10. he voted for a plan that was going to pass anyway. the R gov was the one
doing the pandering. same deal- summer gas tax holiday intended to wipe his looming indictment off the front page. it was a done deal.

12. He voted for it, it didn't help, so he didn't vote to continue it
He actually changed his mind based on evidence and experience. What a crazy person he must be!

9. Blitzer Spent Many Years As CNN's Pentagon Correspondent...
He has had his studio job for a while, but he still feels that pull to the brass there, and he's been pro-Iraq from the beginning. And face it, he's not the brightest bulb in the pack.
