Rush L. is desperate for Hillary to be our nominee
I never listen to him, but just heard his promo for the day on the radio. The premise was that blacks would never leave the democratic party, never have when they were mistreated, and wouldn't if Obama was abandoned by the superdelegates.

He would love it if it was Clinton that was our nominee--I figure he could bash her with ease, and wouldn't have to worry about Bush crimes being exposed in the off chance that she beat McCain.

1. I was going to say he's put his credibility on this Operation Chaos bullshit, but who am I kidding?
He has no credibility.

5. He may not with you or I but do not count him out.
A women who is a Clinton is not going to have one easy step in this. Count on it. My guess is that McCain will win who ever wins on the Dem. side. I know it is a Dem. year but it is so hard to change the history of how people vote. My guess is we have some big things working this. If Obama does not get it the young that have come out will stay at home, and the people who think we have had enough'royal family thing' will not vote for a women and an old white guy who is a hero will seem safe for a 4 year run. Clinton has torn down Obama enough and with Wright, people now have a reason not to vote for him. I do hope I am wrong but it is just how I read it from the side lines and at this date. Rush can not wait to get into this big time.

8. Obama knows this and is working on it
A big part of his general election campaign will be voter registration and GOTV among the new registrants that were signed up from the beginning of the primaries to the general. He is already emailing supporters to get started on the registration drive.

16. His Operation Chaos is undeniably having an adverse
affect on the Democratic primary contests by prolonging them and the negative attacks from the underdog campaign. Like him or not, he does have a following that not only listens to him, but is also quite willing to do his bidding.

Cuts both ways.

4. He Sure Would...
That's the only chance they have to hold on to the Whitehouse. The RNC has been planning to run against her since she announced and was considered the "inevitable" nominee. The Clintons have so many skeletons in their closet it looks like a Halloween party, and the RW media has put a lot of time and effort compiling dirt on them for the GE. That damn "uppity" Obama has come along and is about to cause all their effort to go to waste. Of course their heads are exploding!

11. the difference
so are you saying that BHO doesnt have any skeletons in his closet? (like ayers, rev. wright and many more)

granted, HRC has a few things that can be attacked, but the difference in her case is that it's all been tried before, and it's failed. she has proved that she is TOUGH ENOUGH to withstand the attacks and fight back, and i'm not sure you can say the same thing for Obama.

when the inevitable attacks come from the RNC -- whether they are fair or not (and they usually are NOT) -- the key question is "who is willing to stand up against them?"

14. Welcome To DU...
Conflating Obama with with people he's come into contact with is quite a bit different than say, revealing who the donors are who gave Clinton 1/2 billion dollars for the library and what they may expect in return.

15. huh?
so rev. wright is merely a person whom Obama "has come into contact with"? as opposed to a self-described "mentor" and his personal pastor for TWENTY years?

the BHO supporters are in TOTAL denial if they think the Rev. Wright issue is going away anytime soon. It will be excellent fodder for the Republican Attack Machine.

7. Yep
Rush has his own little psychological agenda. Tell the Dems to vote for Hillary who they hate so they will vote for Obama, then we can kick his ass in November.

9. Umm
If he wanted Obama he would lay low--not tell his supporters to register as Democrats and vote for Hillary.

10. This is what I hear from my dad who listens to Rush
Rush and the rethugs want this primary to go to the convention because they feel that the longer this primary goes on, they better chance McCain has of winning the WH. Polls have shown that @ 25% of Hillary supporters won't vote for Obama in the GE and @ 19% of Obama supporters won't vote for Hillary. We all know they probably will vote for the Democratic Nominee in the end. Rush is saying that if the primary last until the convention, then there won't be enough time to heal the party and McCain will be able to get enough of "Reagan Democrats" (I hate that term!) to win the swing states. This primary being drawn out also allows McCain to concentrate on fund raising, solidify his base, and allow his views to go unchallenged because Hillary and Obama are too busy with each other to smack him down.

I personally think that the right wingers are hoping for Hillary because she will turn out their base (who hate her) and the younger voters and African-Americans will stay home in droves if they feel the Hillary was given the nomination over their candidate.

Rush was one of the out spoken Right wing talk show hosts who were extremely upset with McSame getting the nomination. If anything, McSame losing will help Limbaugh. He'll be able to say, "This is what you get when you nominate a (so-called) moderate. If we had nominated a true conservative, we would have run."

Personally, I think that what ever party does not hold the White House, their blogs, talk shows, etc. do better because their people are more upset and they need an outlet. See the rethug talk radio in the mid to late '90s and progressive blogs in the '00.

Rush is totally pissed because Ronald Reagan didn't re-appear from the grave.
