What was that thing Ghandi said about an eye for an eye...
something about making the whole fucking world blind (of course I'm paraphrasing here). As an Obama supporter, I thought it was ludicrous when the hillary folks made an issue out of Rev. Wright because Obama should not be held responsible for comments made by associates. I feel the same way about this Kantor thing, it's not hillary's fault. Since I did not think that Obama's association with Rev. Wright spoke to his judgement (or as one hillbot put it his "fundamental belief system" :puke: ), I am similarly disinclined to apply a different standard to Hillary. I realize they are apples and oranges, and that the outrageous obsession of some hillary supporters with this story almost makes me want to take the "turnabout is fair play" road, but I can't because it isn't fair. However, if you really want to get your outrage in a lather, check out what Pastor Hagee has to say about unemployed folks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mQvvGJYQaM
McCain pursued this evil fucktards endorsement, it is McCain that should be pilloried!

I know that Hillary and the MSM created an atmosphere where guilt by association is all the rage, but we as DEMOCRATS should be better than this....

1. Sadly, this is what people are interested in....
so I say the Obama camp should play the game right back, and take it to John McCain as well.

2. Fine. But they then need to acknowledge they are IN "the game" and not ABOVE it.

7. I have a feeling....
Obama is too timid for this stuff. I hope I am wrong.

I would love to see him nail Hillary with this, go on and on... call out Stephanopolus (sp?)and Carville for just standing there saying nothing.

9. The Obama camp won't, but many of his voters will. Also, it's extremely relevant in a number of ways
1. First, there is ample evidence that the Clinton Presidency was very bad for the Democrats as a whole, (the remarks were made during the 94' mid term race)and there is a widespread feeling currently that Sen. Clinton's campaign style and choices have been bad for Democrats as a whole.

2. Kantor is still a respected adviser in the current Clinton campaign. Kantor was one of a few who claims that Hillary was anti-nafta back at the time that he was making his remarks about Indiana voters. Can she embrace his recollection of her involvement in NAFTA yet ignore his racists/elitists comments about Indiana voters?

3. Clinton has attempted to portray Obama as an elitist. Yet what about her own advisers remarks?

So while I agree that Kantors remarks aren't necessarily to be confused with Hillary's own sentiments, she will still need to address them, if only to distance herself from them. Also there seems to be a pattern here, as evidenced by her own unfortunate remarks about Louisiana residents.

16. I am no fan of Hillary, but I am getting sooo sick of OUR
candidates having to prostrate themselves before the MSM for shit they didn't say but one of thier supporters did! All the while grampa freaking mccain is getting a free pass on every dumbass, reprehensible, utter douchebag thing he does! When will the media run with the Hagee story, after all, McCain pursued this vile human beings (and I use that term loosely) endorsement!

8. You're a total hypocrite
and frankly, I don't believe you are a TRUE Obama supporter because if you where
you would want your oponent to feel the same pinch you have felt....... let me
say it plainly to you.....FUCK THIS (we should not do what they did because that
means we are stooping to their level) did you say that when they attacked Obama
about Rev Wright, guilt by association, or are you just one of those that feels
Obama a black man should take all the heat while Hillary the White woman should
not.

This hypocritical BS really gets to me (smashing pans and pots throwing things
all over the place in my house because of this freaked out poster).

Where was your post that asked for the same tone from the Clinton supporters?
Could you pull up a post or thread that shows you advocating this same crap
that I see you're asking for now?

17. I was all over those ridiculous Rev. Wright threads...
which is why I think the same standard must be applied to this topic as well! Fuck you if you
think fairness to your opponents is a character flaw! How can I endorse this when I was
"smashing pans and pots throwing things all over the place in my house" over the way
hillbots treated OUR canidate and Rev. Wright?????. I'm sorry if I think we as Obama
supporters should not roll around in the gutter with the hillbots, and that applying
the same standard to Obama and Clinton is now deemed hypocritical!

:grr: right back at you

OK? I can't tell if I've ceased causing you to abuse your kitchenware, but I agree hillary is a dirty nasty politician. I just don't know if the way to demonstrate toughness is to act like an asshole...

That being said, dirty politics is NOT "off the table"

11. Well if that's the case then we need this thoroughly aired and investigated. We need the
News networks to hire some audio experts to find the truth.

Don't you agree?

22. Yes, I know that on both sides there are a small cadre of
posters who just like to stir the pot and that most people usually try to stay respectful (I know I try, but on more than one occasion have suffered an epic fail in that regard). I figure in the end, we all want what is best for the people but just disagree on who can deliver it. :hi:

13. Agreed.. But Obama is pilloried for being weak and not hitting back.
He is still above this kind of politics. But his supporters would like to see a more even playing field, where both campaigns are held to the same standard. The Clinton campaign set this standards with months of RW attacks and Rovian B/S.

So though I would like nothing better than to have a discussion on the "Real" Issues, I also realize that without closing Hillary out we will NOT be able to talk about the real issues. She will drag the race down into the gutter, so we fight her in the gutter and then walk out.

14. I know...
it's like the catch 22 from hell! Part of me is thinking, if the kitchen sink strategy is good enough for some hillary supporters, then it's good enough for me, but then, when I sit back and think about it it comes down to the fact that I usually view thier "poo flinging monkey" behavior it makes me kinda ill. It's a sad day when trying to remain on message and above the fray is seen as weakness! :hi:
