Breaking on CNN: McCain "we won't go to war in Middle east for oil again"
Edited on Fri May-02-08 05:42 PM by jazzjunkysue
Wolf discussing it live right now 6:34 ET.

He's saying he'll have an oil policy that will make sure we don't have to go to war in the middle east ever "again."

Meaning we went in for the oil.

Holy shit!

15. Gramps needs a ventrilloquist. He keeps stepping in it.
What are ya gonna do, when a geezer thinks he's ready for prime time?

18. Let's hope Obama uses this. It's too good.
How many of these duzy's will it take before the GOP cuts him loose in the hopes he'll sink?

17. Not really

I have a feeling this story will fade fast. The MSM doesn't want people to be talking truth, they want us talking about flag pins, pastors, neighbors, fake tapes, and middle fingers.

3. This should blow up in the Republicans faces.
Unless McCain is willing to publicly call out the Bush regime.

And if he does, he'll be called a flip-flopper.

6. Right. He's trying to down-play it that he meant the first gulf war.
But that was never discussed as an oil grab. That was the invasion of Kuwait.

THis is big and it's not catching fire, yet.

13. phrasing?
You mean he slipped and told the truth. It's nothing about dumb phrasing. It was a freudian slip.

You do think we went there for oil, right?

10. Watch those scumbags squirm to cover for that old bastard.
Even Jack can't call it what it is. The truth.
It's like watching a cat in a litter box trying to cover it's treasure.

That's what you'd see on Fox news if they actually believed their own bullshit.

20. I just read on the Huffington post that
Fox news host John Gibson was making fun of Rachel Maddow for being a lesbian on his radio show yesterday. He played a clip of her complaining about the Wright footage on Race to the White House, and then played a clip of a voiceover saying "Oooh, lesbians, yummy!" Yes, dickwad. As a straight person, I find Rachel much yummier than any of the asshole straight males on Fox.

I agree with some above posters that they (MSM, not just Fox)are really going to try and cover for McCain on this one.

21. The DNC must be putting together an ad as we discuss this
The two ads that they have been running already against McCain are hard-hitting. This provides material to bury the repubs.

24. Again!!! Again!!
I keep thinking of a Gumby episode when one of the creatures exclaims "I must be hallucinating AGAIN!" You mean you admit you hallucinated in the first place?

You mean we DID go in for oil? How fucking refreshing.

Now if this can all just be a hallucination, please.
