*****Obama Supporters IN & NC Primary Day Thread*****
Please help keep this bumped.

http://www.news.com.au/common/imagedata/0,,6021605,00.jpg

Share your positive energy and thoughts for the day. If you voted, let us know how things are going on the ground.

Here's my positive news for the day. I was just getting my 4yo ready for preschool, and I realized he was singing a song. He fell and busted his lip up yesterday, so he was singing a little quiet. When I bent down to brush his hair - I realized the song he was singing was Will.I.Am's - Yes We Can. I must say I love my little Obamaniac. From his little button on his backpack, to the sign in his bedroom window - he's got to be one of Obama's Biggest, Little supporters (next to his own kids, of course).

So here's a bit of inspiration for everyone to enjoy.

And in Closing... GO INDIANA & NORTH CAROLINA!!!

campaign office later to help out. People here are working hard! I want
a BIG spread, but I know the Clinton's have been all over the rural areas of the state.
Let's hope no one was FOOLED by their last minute "caring" about NC, or our DINO gov's
lame endorsement. :eyes:

12. From Indiana, friends and family still there
Talked to my sister yesterday, she lives in Bloomington. She was SO excited! I have never heard her so excited to go and vote. She's an independent, left leaning, cynic who is ecstatic to cast her vote for Obama today. I've never seen her excited about politics before, but, ever since she decided on Obama she's geeked. She was filled with the same nervous energy I had when I got my say. :)

The rest of the family and friends are 5 Obama, 2 Clinton.

I told my sis that I'm counting on my home state to put Clinton out of our misery. She said she is doing what she can and she hopes that they won't let me down.

24. It's funny.
She's been listening to me rant on and on for the past 8 years. She would listen, comment occasionally, but, mostly I got the impression that she thought I was too into it all, obsessed. Turns out my baby sis was listening the whole time! She's learned when to call bullshit and now she's become an Obamamaniac like her big 'lil sis! (that's what my siblings call me because they are both much taller and bigger than me, not hard to do really ;) ) My baby brother and sis-in-law are former Clinton supporters, they were diehard too. But Hillary's latest stunts have turned them to light Obama supporters. They were devastated in their disappointment. But, light supporters are just as good as Obamamaniacs like me and my sis in Indiana today!

Check that guys, 7 for Obama, 2 Clinton.

21. Think positive and stay vigilent.
I just know certain voters are going to encounter problems today. Let's stay on top of reports and first hand accounts. Be prepared to send emails and make calls to campaign and party officials and the media (not that THAT will do any good).

I got a good feeling about today. cautiously optimistic.

Gobama.

He said things are really going great there. I just called him to say hi and wish him well. I know how busy he is on the day of the primary so I didn't want to keep him too long. He helped us to carry Lancaster for Obama.

Just thought I'd add something to this thread to kick it up...

44. Voted in Rural Hall, NC (just north of Winston-Salem) this morning
I'm a 20-something black male and I went with my 50-ish mother. Most of the voters we saw at that time were older and white (not unexpected for this area).

As we were leaving, an old white man heading in to vote asked us if we had voted for Obama. Surprised, I replied 'yes' and he responded good, that he was supporting for Obama all the way.

First time Primary voter
Hi, I am Andrew. I am a black 21 year old male who lives in Indianapolis and this is my first post.
I almost voted in the TN primary since I go to school at Vanderbilt, but I am glad I waited and got to vote for Obama right at home. I signed a pledge thing at a campaign event at Vandy held by Ray Mabus promising to vote for Barack and I kept that promise. My preceint near Broad Ripple already had 40 people voted by 6:30 A.M. so I know turnout will be heavy. Go Obama!

63. So I think Obama "wins" tonight if his margin in NC is bigger than Hillary's in IN.
The media needs a simple story. If the states are split, and Obama's margin was bigger, they'll say Obama won tonight. Further, Hillary will have done zero to close the gap, and that will give SDs the cover they need to move in droves to Obama.

Its was all the cable nets use. For example, PA had different results then the nets did. The nets ended up being right.

always right since they called many races flat out wrong. Sometimes in the rush to 'call' first, they become inaccurate.

81. FOLKS - DO NOT DO THE MSM's WORK FOR THEM....FOCUS ON NORTH CAROLINA
Sorry for shouting but I think this is important.

If Obama is able to win big in North Carolina, this is key.

He will get more delegates for the night. It will increase his popular vote lead.

And Bill Clinton himself said Hillary needed to win NC to win the nomination. Harold Ford said the same thing.

So don't make tonight all about Indiana.

We want a close race in IN but a big win in NC is mammoth.

82. NEW SUPER DELEGATE! NEW SUPER DELEGATE! Jeannette Council- OBAMA
Superdelegate Jeannette Council Comes Out for Obama

Cumberland County Commissioner Jeannette Council has come out for Barack Obama. Council is one of the 250 or so remaining superdelegates who have yet to weigh in with their critical vote.

A few minutes ago, she confirmed her support for Obama to our county reporter, John Ramsey, over the phone.

“I would have no problem voting for either of the two,” she told him. “But of the two, I think Barack Obama is the better candidate.”

I asked Council yesterday before the commissioners’ meeting if she would make her decision public after election day. She demurred, saying she wanted to focus on county business at that meeting. She added that maybe folks talking on the radio at WIDU would stop beating up on her after she made her choice.

173. How big is Obama's Win in Elkhart County?
Elkhart may not yield tons of votes BUT, you have to understand Elkhart County was the headquarters for the KKK way back when.

171. Survey USA was really off with both Indiana and NC
they had Hill up by 12 in Indiana, she may win by 4-5 or less and they had Obama only winning NC by five. Let's face it Zogby is looking better this week.
