What in the hell is wrong with you folks?
I go to bed, sick, and I wake up to check DU. Half the fucking topics are about white this and black that. WTf? I'd expect this garbage from republicans but we are DEMOCRATS. We are brothers and sisters and we are tearing each other down. I may have only been posting here for a few days now but if this race baiting bullshit continues, I'm outta here. For G-D sakes people!

went too far and threatened the Speaker of the House.

In Letter, Top Clinton Donors Chastise Pelosi For Statements About Super-Delegates
By Greg Sargent - March 26, 2008, 2:34PM

Twenty top Hillary fundraisers and donors have sent a scathing private letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, chastising her for publicly saying that the super-delegates should support the winner of the pledged delegate count and demanding that she say that they should make an "independent" choice.

I've obtained a copy of the letter, which comes from some of the most influential fundraisers in the Democratic Party, including Hassan Nemazee, Steven Rattner, Maureen White, Stan Shuman, and Alan Patricof.

White People Support Me
Yeah, right Hillary. All those black people in Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota are responsible for Obama winning

17. the screen name is just tacky
Edited on Thu May-08-08 12:54 PM by NightWatcher
The Hillside Strangler is the media epithet for two men, Kenneth Bianchi and Angelo Buono, cousins who were convicted of kidnapping, raping, torturing, and killing girls and women ranging in age from 12 to 28 years old during a four-month period from late 1977 to early 1978. They committed their crimes in the hills above Los Angeles, California. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillside_Strangler

you've only got 48 posts, you could always create another account and screen name. I am surprised you got away with it at all.

on edit:
Before you criticize my screen name, I am former federal special investigator turned private investigator who conducts a majority of my surveillance at night. I am also an astronomy buff.

16. Why is is okay to write "G D" but not "God" ...
...when they both mean the exact same thing?

Besides, "God" isn't "the LORD's name." That would be YHWH or "I am." Eliminating that would make language pretty awkward.

35. Some Religions traditions
consider it wrong to write God and thus instead write G_d

Some people become accustomed to it or intentionally write G_d out of respect for those who have different religious beliefs and frequently use G_d even if they don't subscribe to that religion, just as most of us celebrate Christmas, Easter, etc. as a society even if some of us don't consider ourselves practicing Christians.

7. Don't yell at us. Clinton brought it up - we're just reacting to her statment:
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

(CNN) — In what appear to be the New York senator's most blunt comments to date regarding a racial division in the Democratic presidential race, Hillary Clinton suggested Wednesday that "White Americans" are increasingly turning away from Barack Obama’s candidacy.

"I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on," Clinton said in an interview with USA TODAY.

Clinton cited an Associated Press poll "that found how Senator Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me."

"There's a pattern emerging here," she said.

Exit polls from Tuesday's primaries in Indiana and North Carolina show Clinton won about 60 percent of the white vote in both states. That percentage is down from the Ohio primary on March 4, in which Clinton won upwards of 65 percent of the white vote. Meanwhile, Clinton garnered 63 percent of the white vote in Pennsylvania on April 22.

Speaking with the paper, Clinton rejected the notion her comments were racially divisive in any way.

"These are the people you have to win if you're a Democrat in sufficient numbers to actually win the election," she said. "Everybody knows that."

Obama spokesman Bill Burton called Clinton's statements "not true and frankly disappointing."

44. Instead of continuing on with the difference, try unifying... Yes, this
country and the world is not really very good at being humanitarian.. Human history is disgusting. But human history has had its moments.. When the people unify against those that keep them down, then it gets better.. when the top rule and set the tone, humans do disgusting things. Pack animal mentality really. Anyway, I like the unifying message.. not the tear it down message... Ignoring her is best.. I don't really think Hillary is a racist.. I think she's just using it because she hopes division will work for her.. it has for the pukes for a long time.

30. There is a subtext here
that I find disturbing. Whether or not see meant it that way it really comes across as though she is saying that those white non college grads who weren't voting for Obama would not do so in the GE. Is it because Obama is Black? She mentions the race of the people who aren't voting for Obama now. How can one not see the implication?

Should the Democratic Party use that compass to pick the nominee? So never mind what the rest of the voters have to say, go with the ones that vote for her - the "white Americans."

But not once have I made a post where I have attacked anyone for their name. I prefer to debate ideas. I thought my name would be somewhat offensive but I also though I irony of it would be somewhat funny because I am AS LIBERAL AS THEY COME. Nonetheless, point taken. If I offended some folks I'm sorry and do see the error of my ways. That said my topic is legitimate and I do not believe DEMOCRATS should not be spending so much time and energy railing on each other about race. Steps down from soapbox and exits stage left.
