***BREAKING: Race is NOT Over!*****
Edited on Thu May-08-08 07:16 PM by Zachstar
Yes I know this is Obvious but some seem to be getting distracted when there are multiple contests ahead!

In atleast 3 upcoming states (Including WV) Clinton has a chance to get BIG wins against Obama that might empower her campaign again and take this to the convention! She is counting on us not putting those in play and being distracted so that she can sneak in a few big victories and continue! We must work so that does not happen!

People are getting distracted by side issues and the idea of instant victory when more than likely it is not going to happen. We will have a GREAT amount of work to do and I hope you will focus on the upcoming contests!

It is NOT OVER!!!

If you can fly out to these states please do so! If not there is still a BIG amount of Phonebanking left to do! And it is vital to get in contact with these states and let the people know we want these states in play!

here, you go make it so that Hillary has more delegates

http://www.slate.com/id/2185278/

then come back and tell us how you do it

If she gets 100% in all the remaining races and 50% in Oregon (I'm being real generous), she TIES HIM.

That's why I'm ignoring the notion of being nice to Hillary, giving her time to collect her thoughts and bow out gracefully, etc. I guess I've seen one too many zombie movies to trust that she's gone until I hear her concession speech.

We're on different sides in this primary, but on this point I agree with you.

Edited on Thu May-08-08 07:26 PM by rocknation
She needs 86% of the vote in all six of the remaining contests to catch Obama. Even 30% of WV and KY would help Obama because it would stop Hillary from hitting her "magic number" and require fewer superdelegates to get to 2025. Besides, she's provided us with a "bitter" remark of her own: telling USA today that working class whites won't vote for Obama. Let's show her up--let's make her FIGHT for WV and KY like we made her fight for IN and TX! if you can get out the vote in WV, PLEASE HELP!!!

Is that I'm going have no choice but to get used to people with your anemic sense of humor running the country via an administration packed with smug zealots.

Talk about George Bush squandering international goodwill through his idiocy - you guys are going to give him a run for his money via superior smugness.

Obama, I don't mind so much.

I don't understand how people read the title and nothing else before responding. Maybe I am just a detail oriented person, but I have to at least skim before saying anything. Plus theres the whole "don't want to repeat exactly what someone else commented" thing. Its like showing up to a party wearing the same dress as your boyfriend. Just not ok.

57. Correction: The "RACE BAITING is not over by HRC, but "THE RACE" for the Democratic Nomination ...
is wrapping up. Let's put it this way, "The fat lady is warming up her voice."

The only question is IF "The Clintons" wish to COMPLETELY DESTROY their reputation within the Democratic Party OR if they can "dig down deep" to that small shred of magnanimity for OTHERS (to include the Party and the American People) to GRACIOUSLY step aside?

If they continue to SLIME Obama with "Race Baiting" it just may blow back at them? Those WV folks are not THE SAME ones from the 1990s. I hope and pray that the good people of WV show "The Clintons" that bringing back the imagery of The Jim Crow South is no longer in play.

65. Here you go:
ABC News' Karen Travers Reports: For the first time this campaign season, Barack Obama has surpassed Hillary Clinton's support among superdelegates, according to the ABC News delegate estimate.

Sen. Obama, D-Ill., picked up two superdelegates this morning giving him a new metric to tout in addition to his current commanding leads in pledged delegates, popular votes, states won, and money raised.

Rep. Donald Payne, D-N.J., switched his endorsement from Clinton to Obama and Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., endorsed Obama. DeFazio was previously uncommitted.

With these endorsements, Obama has the support of 267 superdelegates and Clinton has 265 superdelegates.

74. I did some PB last night with five others to Kentucky
We're going to have a big voter registration drive this Saturday (look for an OP) and between the five of us did 15 pages... 95% positive...

It is over technically. I just want the perception to be that it is INDEED really over.

90. Wait - brilliant idea! Thanks!
It's over folks, all but the crying!

Vote in the remaining primaries

Take a rest and gather your strength up until the convention.

Then start gearing up for the general election.

94. ***BREAKING: WVA, KY NOT GOING TO CHANGE A THING***
lets get real here.

People aren't distracted. They are catching their breath after the marathon that has been the past few months. Obama may not have technically crossed the finish line yet, but he's the only one with the means to get it done. There really isn't much to say about it beyond that.

95. she could well go to the convention yet and try to convince party
to put her on the ticket.

Perhaps a ticket with both her and Obama would be good for the party members.

102. I think Zachstar's point is well made. Obama supporters should still go through the motions of...
phonebanking, donating, etc.
