Hillary disqualifies herself for president by continuing to run white vs. black campaign
Edited on Thu May-08-08 07:41 PM by book_worm
"I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on...(AP Poll) found how Senator Obama's support among working, hard working white Americans is weakening again, and how whites in both states (Indiana/North Carolina)who have not completed college were supporting me. A pattern is emerging here."--Hillary Clinton to USA Today.

She understood what she was saying she made sure to emphasize "white" not once but twice.

That is a statement worthy of Strom Thurmond in 1948 or George Wallace in 1968. I don't see Senator Obama countering by saying that she is showing near zero support among hard working black Americans (more than 90% for Obama in IN and NC) because he won't play racial politics.

What is with this woman? He's not a Muslim "as far as I know". She's prepared to be commander-in-chief and so is McCain "but you'll have to ask Senator Obama." and repeated attempts to bring race into this campaign.

And now there on TV speculating that Hillary thinks if she can't be the nominee she has earned the right to be VP? After this kind of divisive politics.

If this doesn't cause a huge outcry among super delegates I don't know what will. They need to end this NOW.

19. I've been avoiding cable news lately in an attempt to stop the atrophying of my mind.
Looks like I made the right call.

I just can't believe she'd say that. I can't believe anyone could DEFEND her saying that. It just makes me so sad that we've had people that actually believe and support this shit in our ranks for so many years and we just didn't see it. At least I didn't.

Going back under my rock now...

12. "Hard working white Americans?!?"
It gives one pause to hear such a thing said. All this talk of equating Black political organizing with "white political organizing" are off the mark. Black people are discriminated against and need to forge political organizations to fight for civil rights. White people have benefits due to their race. White-specific organizing is inherently aimed at preserving this privilege.
