McCain and Hamas, doesn't it bother you?
So, as most of us know, McCain smeared Obama the other day, by saying that Hamas would support Obama's candidacy over McCain's. And ever since then I've been waiting .... listening ... reading ... but I've heard no mention here, in the MSM or on any of the other sites I read of this one point that has been nagging at me.

Why is it that the media (or the Obama campaign) isn't hitting McCain for attempting to allow Hamas, a terrorist organization, to influence our elections? I mean he is touting himself as someone with great judgment and experience when it comes to dealing with terrorists and terrorism. He has all the experience and yet in his wise judgment, its appropriate to call them into our election process and potentially allow them to influence voters?

Obama did come back at McCain and stated that his policy on Hamas was identical to McCains, but as far as I can tell this is true with one caveat: the Obama campaign does not repeat terrorist press releases as part of their election strategy.

Am I the only one that found this reference by McCain disturbing in this way? Is there a good reason for not bringing this up as a campaign issue?

2. it's true, where McCain is concerned I really have no patience
But seriously, it can't happen soon enough. I just want the media to expose him so badly that when they do, it's going to feel like a Christmas Miracle!

6. No, we're talking about the fear card and whether you and others will be controlled by it.

8. My point is that it shows bad judgment to even bring up the wishes of a terrorist group
If McCain chooses to play the fear card, that's his choice but I'd like to see someone question his judgment.

7. This was just discussed on Hardball
And what a ridiculous thing it was to say... because some guy from Hamas looks favorably at Obama over McCain, that's news? What if David Duke from the KKK came out and supported either one of them? You can't help whoever comes out and says these things and ultimately they said this will backfire on McCain. I was surprised to hear the conversation going on.

9. yes, they keep saying this but
they never come back around on the judgment issue. They talk about how you can't read anything out of these endorsements, but they don't discuss how irresponsible it is to even bring it up or how doing so can arguably give these groups more political recognition and credibility than they deserve.

I don't know, maybe I'm splitting hairs here.
