At this point, Hillary Clinton is worse than Ralph Nader. |

5. I actually don't mean to say that I'd vote for Nader instead of Hillary in the general. |
|
But her negative effect on the party is probably worse than Nader's will be this time around.

4. That's a tough call, Nader's damage is now a know given |
|
He has to bear responsibility for allow bush to start the Iraq war. As for Hillary, her damage has the potential to be as great, but we don't know if it will reach that potential.

6. Hillary has said that she will support the Dem nominee in the |
|
general.
Nader ran AGAINST the Dem nominee in the general in 2000 and 2004. I think he's hoping to do the same in 2008.
You people who are fixated against Hillary are just wasting energy.
The election will be between Obama and McCain.
Are you planning to vote for McCain?????
If not, then quit obsessing about Hillary and turn your attention to the real opponent.

7. I think even if she does support the nominee, she's cost us more votes than Nader will this time. |
|
No, I'm not planning on voting for McCain. And I would vote for Hillary over McCain. But I think at this point she's done more damage than Nader will.

10. I agree. HRC might be able to turn off the anti-Obama rhetoric... |
|
...but I think she's done such a good job of creating fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) regarding Obama that she has damaged the Democrats chances. Even though she won't be running 3rd party in November (God, I hope not), she has done a bang-up job of poisoning the (Democratic) well. Way to go, HRC.

If Hillary stays in after June 1st, then you have an argument that she MIGHT be in Nader territory. But waiting this out until all of the primaries are done won't make a dime's worth of difference when it comes to the General Election. If there is no cutoff date (like June 1st), though, then we do indeed have a problem.

I guess that's a sexist distinction, but oh well. Still, I think the group of people she has taken from Obama in the general will be bigger than the one Nader takes this time around, and for that, more shame.
