Obama supporters: A bit of good news from West Virginia
We're not ALL hopeless here. Check out what these Clinton supporters had to say during a rally in Eleanor, W.Va.:

(Clinton supporter Angela) White said she would support Obama in November if it came to that.
"I like McCain as a person, but he has too many views that take the same line as George W. Bush,'' White said.

Another one:

If Obama wins the nomination, (Clinton supporter Gary) Johngrass plans to vote for the Democrat and expects most veterans in the Clinton camp to follow suit.
"I like McCain as a senator, but I think it would be another George Bush for four or eight years,'' Johngrass said.

Some of them switched BEFORE the primary:

"I was very surprised," (Barbara Carroll, 73) said Sunday from Obama's downtown Charleston headquarters. "I think he's the best man. I was leaning toward Hillary. But once I met him, I changed my mind."

2. OT: I like the link in your signature. I've got two dogs of my own.
They're pound puppies. B-)

I just want to see Obama do better than the polls are predicting. I'm taking comfort in the fact that only people with landlines were polled. Young people + cell phones = more likely to be Obama supporters.

8. If I were WV, I would vote Obama if for nothing else than to reject
Hillary's stereotyping of me and my state as racist. I hope they do. It would send a message to everyone to STFU about racially devisive commentary.

3. Obama will provide a stark contrast to McCain on policy and ideology.
It should be a no-brainer for most Americans.

5. I just now get your cartoon!
and it's hilarious. I'd seen it a couple of times and didn't think much of it. Now I realize that the donkey (Dems) is handing the Republicans their ass!

10. Thank you! I kept wondering what the hell was up with that
cartoon. I knew it was supposed to be funny but I just didn't get it. :)

4. Rock and hard place for Hillary:
Should she continue on with the message that McCain represents another 4 years of George Bush? That message seems to help her supporters to be willing to support Obama in the fall election, which is directly counter-intuitive to her scorched earth path to victory. I'll be paying attention to see if Hillary's campaign stops the McCain=Bush line.

6. I guess it is good news, but it makes me wonder when they say they like mccain as a senator
in one breath, then say he would be another george bush, which they imply they don't like

Yes, he would be another george bush, but worse, and if you looked at mccain's voting record he has supported most every vote george bush needed, which doesn't say much for their thought process

9. It's probably more a matter of showing respect for
an "elder statesman" and the office than it is of showing agreement.
