Letterman in reference to the now highly in debt Hillary Clinton.

Good one.

4. As an Obama fan, I must say, the fashion thing must suck for
a female candidate. A man can wear a suit, change the tie, and he's good to go. A woman has to wear different stuff (I may be very wrong here) I'm just happy I get to wear jeans and T=shirts for my job.

10. No, you're right. She has rarely repeated a pantsuit.
I'd like to know who's styling her. They're doing a good job.

11. I don't think a woman has to wear a different suit or even wear makeup for that matter.
I think Hillary would look better if she just wore simple black or dark blue suits like the guys. There is nothing that dictates that she has to wear those awful, weird colored pantsuits. If anyone gave her flack she could say that the demands of the campaign make it necessary to simplify her wardrobe. And not all women politicians are totally made up all the time - think Golda Meir - she wasn't doused in rough and lipstick all the time.

16. Not all women can wear dark colours though.
I cannot apparently but I prefer to wear those colours at work-seems simplist but cannot do that according to my staff.

And Golda Meir had a very different situation going on.

the dark colors look good. Some of those colors like yellow that she wears look awful, she should stick to dark blue, greys etc.

32. I agree with you
She looks great in navy and dk brown. She should go ahead and wear the same colors. I was in the Air Force for 22 yrs and I loved the "uniform" look. I kind of still practice that in my retired life. Makes it so easy to get dressed for the day!

Lighten up, already.

B: Your sarcasm is lost on me. The Obama supporters who try to kick my ass for saying *anything* about **their** guy are much tougher than you are.

C: Who is my fellow poster? Not sure I get your drift. You *were* drifting ... right?

25. Your clowning around is working against Obama here on DU.
A) It was a stupid joke that didn't bear repeating. All it does is piss HRC supporters off.

B) More than sarcasm is lost on you it seems. The whole world isn't always out to "kick your ass". It's not about you, believe it or not.

C) I left out the "S" (posters) But you knew that for you obviously weren't "drifting".

D) Now I remember why you were on my ignore list last year. Congrats you are back on. You may reply with one of your snarky replies but unfortunately.....I won't see it. I bet I'm not the first to have you "disappear" from DU. I bet I won't be the last to do it.

funny OP, BTW...this has nothing to do with the post per se:

Last night, I posted an OP about something in regard to an MSNBC correspondent's laugh (happens to be female) and got branded as a sexist pig by the...oh well, you get the picture, POLICE here...for no reason. It was postively sick. I'm glad that no one's put your head on a pike yet.

Best,

Oh I get it...it was the word 'cackle'. People didn't seem to like that much.

It's OK to slam people for their pantsuits but not their nervous laugh?

Moranic.

26. Does Clinton have cankles? Is that why we never see her in a dress?
I love dresses, myself. So much cooler and free-feeling than polyester pant-suits.

27. Not when you have to wear panty hose.
It would not be either cooler or more free-feeling. Panty hose are passe, I know, but when you get to a certain age, the bare-leg look is gauche.

And I cannot believe we've been reduced to discussing wardrobe.

But then I'll usually wear jeans.

37. Jeans for me too. And I don't do the makeup thing much.
As for your calendar -- maybe for some women it's like, never. Dressing for a semi-formal event, looking in the mirror and thinking 'ugh' better don the hose -- that's the day.

Every time I think we've cleaned out the issues of no substance, we find another one. It seems we have a limitless supply here on DU.

38. "It seems we have a limitless supply here on DU. "
The gift that keeps on taking.

I guess since I don't go to very many formal or semi-formal events may be one reason I eschew panty-hose. And if I do have to dress up, then I'll usually wear pants. My dresses are more of the summer, sun type dealies. This is the South, don'cha know.

I love doing make-up (not the thick, heavy base, Tammy-Faye-look, but just powders and lip gloss). But I also look just as stunning without.

I'm just sayin'.

31. thats sorta funny
My wife throughout this campaign has marveled at the pantsuits. Constantly telling me she has never seen her wear the same one twice. Then yesterday she tells me OMG I have seen that suit before on her she must really be running out of money.

Totally trivial I know but still funny considering dave apparently has been watching the same metric.
