Can the DNC actually FORCE a candidate to drop out?
I mean like, vote on it in a committee, then "legally" force the candidate to leave the race. It seems high time that if it's possible, it should be done. I see no reason why this should continue on, and it seems that the cries from at least 70% of the party are inaudible to Hillary and her campaign. It just seems like there has to be an easy way to force her out, other than convincing every Superdelegate to endorse immediately, which I would like to see the DNC make a new rule saying SD's must endorse by 2 weeks after the last primary.

So, if there is no rule, is it possible for the DNC to whip one up quickly? Or is this the kind of stuff that would have to get voted on at the convention?

1. No
However if Obama controls the delegates he controls the convention. She can demand a floor vote but will it really matter.

She takes it to the convention she'll lose 50-100 super delegates.

No worries.

2. If the superdelegates don't move fast after June 3rd, HRC will cheat her way to the Nomination OR
DESTROY Obama's chances for the GE. She better not be counting to run again in 2012, because I'll do everything legal to see that she LOSES. :grr:

3. The minute that happens
Is the minute you see protests in the streets. Such a thing goes against everything we stand for in this country. Parties aren't supposed to control the process, they are merely meant to be a vehicle, a coalition to achieve interests

4. Right
So forget trying to manipulate the system for your own candidate. Forcing any candidate to leave before the primary is finished is tyranny and undemocratic.

5. Dean has said on TV often that no one can tell someone to drop out.
He made it very clear.
