40. WV is not that important. |
|
IMO. There is no need to sabotage the candidate to appeal to WV's 5 electoral votes. And KY aint voting for a Democrat unless Mitch McConnell switches party. McCain beats both Obama and Clinton.
WV has a problem with race. The only thing that will change some of their minds is to see Obama as President and break their preconceived notions and prejudices.

5. My ideal would be Brian Schweitzer |
|
He's got great appeal to rural America and is smart as hell. Obama/Schweitzer would give us 16 years of Dem presidents. The only problem is that I don't think Schweitzer's interested.

17. Schweitzer! Bubba looks and a mind seldom equaled |
|
He has stood up to bush malAdministration and won. He is into serious energy changes. He has inspired lots of governor activity against the status quo.
And he loves his dog. More importantly, HIS dog actually loves him. Barney is always trying to escape from bush. Dogs have good judgment. ;)

in 2004, Kerry lost to Bush by a very close margin. The Governor of Virginia could help swing that state blue.

I don't think Kerry seriously contested Virginia, though.
