--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Breaking it down, reading between the lines of Hillary's "Vic..er..Concession" Speech
1. She calls Obama by his title/name. He is now Senator Obama no longer "the other guy" or "my opponent"
2. She says his name 3 times!!
3. She compliments him
4. She acknowledges that both of them want to seat MI and FL
5. She points out the importance of getting a Democrat in the Office in November
6. She calls for her supporters to "think hard about where we are in this election, about how we will win in November " i.e. Vote for Obama no matter what!
7. And the most important thing she said last night, "And I will work my heart out for the nominee of the Democratic Party to make sure we have a Democratic President."
SO let her run to the end of the primaries she know she has lost. that's what's important. I was getting nervous she really thought she was going to win.
But still Hold Senator Obama up in Prayer, Hillbilly DOES LIE A LOT! *******************************************************************************************
"I want to commend Senator Obama and his supporters. This continues to be a hard-fought race, from one end of our country to the other."
"both Senator Obama and I believe that the delegates from Florida and Michigan should be seated."
"Now, in a campaign, it can be easy to get lost in the political spin and the polls or the punditry, but we must never lose sight of what really counts, of why all of us care so much about who wins and who loses in our political system."
"I deeply admire Senator Obama,"
"We all want a better world for our children, and we want the best for our country. And we are committed to putting a Democrat back in the White House. And our nominee – our nominee will be stronger for having campaigned long and hard, building enthusiasm and excitement, hearing your stories and answering your questions. And I will work my heart out for the nominee of the Democratic Party to make sure we have a Democratic President."
"I’m asking that people think hard about where we are in this election, about how we will win in November, because this is not an abstract exercise. This is for a solemn, crucial purpose: to elect a president to turn our country around, to meet the challenges we face and seize the opportunities. It has been a long campaign, but it is just an instant in time when compared with the lasting consequences of the choice we will make in November. "

1. Wishful thinking. If the leadership and superdelegates don't SHUT HER DOWN, she'll either |
|
cheat her way into the Democratic Nomination OR she'll destroy our party and run as an independent.
The Clintons will do ANYTHING, yes, any DAMN thing to score the Presidency. :nuke:

She didn't say those things accidentally. They are contrast to her earlier verbage.
She has dug a hole, but she is now angling for leverage to get out while still retaining possession of a shovel or two.

5. That's my point, those were the parts of her speech she had never said before |
|
Although, I don't Agree with Terry MacCrazy, this was not the best speech ever in the history of speeches LOL
